1. 1. Post-earthquake, do you believe the BMA will honestly declare seriously damaged hi-rise offices/condos uninhabitable and order demolition?

   • Yes, I believe the authorities will have structural engineers check every building with reported structural damage, using internationally approved inspection practices, and declare them uninhabitable if warranted, regardless of costs to owners, and regardless of how many there are.

   • No, of course not. The costs could be astronomical to those affected, so this will be mostly a Thai PR job - many unsafe buildings will be given a green light to allow residents to return.
