Stories alone from 20+ years ago are not evidence of rape.

I know a different Country ,  but didn't Trump get found to be guilty based on 20 year old stories ?

So you believe this creep? I don't.

Doesn't really matter what you believe does it?  If you were not there you cannot know.   I presume that if this was your son/brother/father or you being accused of such a crime that you profess innocence to you would want a bit more than a "believable story" as the test to find you guilty of a crime that carries such a punishment that will destroy your life completely?

The police think they have enough evidence. So there must be something there. I've seen this creep force himself on women.

He isn't a family member though so that emotional attachment doesn't exist .

I've watched him a few times on his YT channel, I actually agree with much of what he says, but he's such an annoying bastard, always shouting and ramming his point of view down your throat.

You just have to remember how Brand called up the daugther of Andrew Sachs, the things he said, to recall what kind of human being Brand is.

Live on air on his radio show, he called up a Grandfather and told him that he'd "F***ed* his Granddaughter and named her on air and stated it was consensual, non menstrual and a condom was used  .

   Can listen to it here

He's guilty?

Wouldn't that determination be up to a judge and jury???? Due process??

Of course, it does, which is why I asked the question (see my question mark) of FriscoKid whose posts suggest that he thinks otherwise.

He does look the part. Sorry,.

Not speaking for this issue here, but in many situations, women litteraly throw themselves on a silver platter when a chap is rich and famous. Good for them but comming back and complaining the next day with a bagfull of accusations ? not sure if it helps the feminists cause....

Do you have any evidence that the  girls threw themselves at him ?

Maybe he did behave criminally.  Maybe he didn't.  That's for the court to decide.  It bothers me somewhat that during the past 20 years since these alleged offenses occurred that not a peep was heard from these accusers when he held and espoused the "right" opinions.  It's only since he ventured into expressing the "wrong" opinions about the establishment that these seem to have come to light.

And the next conspiracy starts as easily as that.

How does "What you reap you will sow" work? Sorry if I am missing something here other than any logic.

Not sure I've ever taken any notice of Russel Brand. What does he do apart from aledgedly like to give a good licking?

He gained huge popularity on YouTube speaking out against 'the establishment' and also exposed lies told by Various people and organisations regarding COVID measures amm, vaxxines and the  ivermectin lies...

Similar to the Tates, become prominent for speaking out.... along comes a sex scandal.... happens all the time.

As usual people believe everything they're told, without question.

The guy was always creepy.

Correct.

Women have been making allegations against Russell Brand long before he appeared on Youtube.

"Four women have made allegations of sexual assaults between 2006 and 2013 as part of an investigation by The Times, The Sunday Times and Channel 4 Dispatches - allegations he denies.

Since publication, The Times said it has been contacted by "several women" with claims about Brand, but said their allegations have not yet been investigated and "will now be rigorously checked"."

He saw there was a market for conspiracy theories and cashed in.

But Covid was a long time ago .

That's all done and dusted .

Russell Brand has become irrelevant in the last few years .

There is no connection between his opinion and the allegations .

Two separate issues

Agreed. A full fledged nasty bit of work. How does he explain away something like this to his children though, let alone his wife?

The Hammers part? He can't.

Brand was not irrelevant. A lot of his content was wildly popular. He posted on relationships and many other things.

It's a shame that his past misdeeds will qualify his undoubted deep insights gained by dancing with the devil.

Never liked him. Seems like a real bandwagon jumper. If Woke made a comeback he'd be woker than woke. He's a chameleon.

But I do find it interesting that he is suddenly public enemy number 1 for a few relatively minor allegations whilst at the same time the government is opposing an enquiry into the Rotherham rape gangs.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with his current brand of politics.

I suspect he will agree to shut up in exchange for a leftist sentence, sorry I mean a suspended sentence.

And in Russia Putin's political opponents keep flying out of windows or mysteriously getting poisoned but on this issue you don't question his innocence at all.

Why is that?

PS. Rhetorical question - I know why.

COVID itself might not be in the news but there are still things being exposed that were covered up at the time, from fauci emails to Handcock whatsapp messages, etc. He talks about  what's not reported about the Ukraine war, trump, democrats. I was just givng a couple of examples, these allegations didn't appear yesterday.

Brand had 6 million + subscribers on YouTube, millions of live viewer per episode, maybe he wasn't mainstream like Rogan, but to say he is irrelevant is wrong. Still on YouTube, but can speak freely on rumble

He sort if left the mainstream and went underground .

He lost lots of popularity after the "Manuel " phone call .

His Youtube videos viewing figures are also declining  , he used to get 10 Million views for his videos  , now the viewing figures are on the 100s of thousands
