A man wearing only boxer shorts was fatally struck by a train in an incident near the Nava Nakorn Industrial Estate in Pathum Thani on the morning of 4 April. The train driver reported seeing the man standing motionless on the tracks but was unable to stop the train in time.

Police and emergency responders were called to the scene shortly after the incident, which occurred in Khlong Nueng Subdistrict, Khlong Luang District. Pol Lt Theerasak Saento, duty officer at Khlong Luang Police Station, led the initial investigation, accompanied by forensic doctors from Thammasat University Hospital and rescue volunteers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation.

The deceased, an unidentified male, was found wearing only boxer shorts and no shirt. His body was lodged at the front of the Chiang Mai–Bangkok special express train No. 14. Rescue workers carefully removed the body from the train.

According to statements from Ruamkatanyu Foundation officials, the train driver said the train had been en route to Bangkok from Chiang Mai. As it approached the area behind the industrial estate, he saw the man standing on the tracks but was unable to brake in time.

Following the inspection of the scene, Pol Lt Theerasak documented the evidence and ordered the body to be sent to Thammasat University Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Authorities are now working to identify the deceased and locate his family to arrange funeral proceedings.

The motive or circumstances surrounding why the man was on the tracks remain unclear, and police are continuing their investigation.
