A 40-year-old resort employee, Samarn, was arrested on April 8 on Koh Larn following serious allegations from his former girlfriend, including trespassing and sexual assault. The arrest, executed by Mueang Pattaya district officers, followed two warrants issued by the Pattaya Provincial Court.

Charged with nighttime housebreaking and sexual assault involving threats and force, Samarn allegedly entered the victim's staff accommodation on March 23, attempting to forcibly take her away. The victim's colleagues intervened, facilitating her escape as Samarn fled the scene.

Tensions escalated when, on April 3, Samarn reportedly threatened to release private photos to coerce the victim into visiting him. During this visit, at his Bang Lamung residence, further assault occurred, according to the victim's account.

Samarn contests the charges, claiming the relationship had ended mutually a month prior, attributing the accusations to her dissatisfaction over transportation issues. However, police express doubt over his version of events, committing to thorough legal proceedings. The case shines a light on domestic abuse issues, highlighting the critical role of vigilant law enforcement in protecting vulnerable individuals, reported The Thaiger.
