A woman sustained injuries in an early morning hit-and-run incident in Pattaya after a white Honda City collided with her motorbike and fled the scene. The crash occurred at approximately 05:35, on 10 April, on Sai Sam Road, Pattaya.

Pol. Sub-Lt. Chaowalit Suwanmanee, Deputy Inspector of Pattaya City Police, received the emergency call and coordinated with rescue teams and patrol officers to assist the injured and apprehend the fleeing suspect.

At the scene, rescue workers found a black automatic motorbike, registration from Chonburi, toppled on the road. The rider, a woman estimated to be about 60 years of age, suffered abrasions across her body. First aid was administered at the scene before she was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

The motorist involved, driving a white Honda City, failed to stop or offer assistance and instead fled in the direction of South Pattaya along Sukhumvit Road. Bystanders and rescue volunteers gave chase, urging the driver to pull over. The suspect refused and went on to collide with another vehicle belonging to one of the pursuers, causing further damage.

The pursuit ended off Soi Thepprasit, South Pattaya, where the driver was eventually cornered and arrested by the police. She was identified as Ms. Sirinya, 29, who was found to be heavily intoxicated and incoherent. Her relative, visibly shaken, arrived at the scene and witnessed the police search of the vehicle, which yielded no illegal items.

According to one of the pursuing civilians, the car was clearly seen striking the motorcycle and speeding away without checking on the victim. The citizen tried to block the vehicle’s path, only to be rammed in the process.

Police confirmed that Ms. Sirinya was taken for an alcohol test and will face legal action in accordance with the law.

Authorities commended the swift actions of bystanders and rescue personnel which led to the suspect’s apprehension.
