Because they are the earliest dates, it starts May 1, so the biggest issues will happen on those first few days, after May 3 or 4 they might well dump the whole idea, or at least solve some of the initial problems.

What starts on those dates?

I've seen the site..I think it's a translation problem

Form, before, by, between and until are commonly misused on Thai government sites

The site does not mention when it's to be done, only the press releases/anouncements etc.  If you use the site it becomes obvious when you get to the arrival date field.

DTAC=Draining Tourist After Change.

What has DTAC ( a telecomms company) got to do with this thread about the Thai Digital Arrival Card or TDAC?

😜

It's not a condition on the non-own on B visas. Haven't signed any saying that I need to do it and it's not stamped to my passport so good luck to them.

That is not country of residense and if you do that you need to input a visa number, which many here on extensions do not have.

You cannot get a long term extension without having a visa.

Short term extensions such as visa exempt wouldn't change your residence.

How you been following this thread Andrew? The topic of this thread starts on May 1, every foreign person entering Thailand from May 1 has to do the TDAC. I sure wouldn't want to be anywhere near Swampy on May 1. 😂

I suspect that the real requirement is that it must be submitted not more than 3 days before arrival (same as Singapore, which includes a health declaration, so the 3-day maximum makes sense).

I'm leaving my next trip for at least a month after this starts so they can iron out all the glitches.

Same with me, I'm actually flying to Oz on May 7, and returning around end of June, so the TDAC (if it's still going, which I think it will be) would have been in service for best part of 2 months, so I reckon they would have sorted out the issues by then.

If you're worried about a visa number use your re entry number. But they say Thailand will be added, if not it's not going to be any issue.

I'm not worried about anything, the form as it is configured now is obviously designed for tourists and not expats resident in Thailand. Probably designed by some highly educated person who just happened to forget about all the expats resident here with extensions based on work, marriage or retirement.

Your visa expires after 1 year, then its 1 year extensions of stay. I haven't had a visa since 2004.

I'm down for this. Anyone who lives in Thailand and travels frequently watches their passport pages fill up pretty quickly. If I don't need to stamp exit and entry into my passport - that's a complete win.

Exit yes, entry no.

Indeed….  I often have travel at less than 12 hours notice… or have to change plans last min..,

…. Kind of makes this 3 day requirement somewhat tricky.

Yes, that would suck if true.

Appears to be a poor translation, and the digital card MAY be submitted UP TO 3 days in advance.  Doesn't mean it can't be done on arrival.
