In the early hours the morning of 11 April, a domestic dispute at a private residence in Pattaya escalated into a violent altercation, leaving two individuals injured and requiring emergency medical treatment.

At approximately 02:35, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Centre in Pattaya received a report of a violent altercation at a house located in Moo 6, Soi Mab Ya Lia 26/3, Nong Prue m, Bang Lamung. Rescue volunteers were immediately dispatched, alongside officers from Nong Prue Police Station.

Upon arrival, emergency responders found evidence of a drinking party that had ended in chaos. Broken glass littered the floor and blood stains were visible throughout the house. Two injured individuals were discovered at the scene.

The first victim, identified as Mr. Sarayut 38, had sustained a head injury from a blunt object and suffered multiple cuts to his foot from broken glass. The second victim, Ms. Sompit 30, had a laceration to her neck, reportedly caused by a sharp object. Both were given first aid at the scene before being rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent care.

According to statements from neighbours, the couple had been hosting a party involving heavy alcohol consumption. An argument reportedly began when Ms. Sompit complained to her husband about the loud music. In a fit of drunken rage, the husband allegedly smashed a beer bottle on the floor and threatened his wife with a shard of glass. Ms. Sompit resisted and, in self-defence, struck her husband over the head with another bottle.

Onlookers intervened and promptly contacted emergency services.

Police are continuing their investigation into the incident. Charges may follow once both parties are medically stable and able to provide full statements.

Aah, domestic bliss - Thai style.
