Yet another Trump hate thread, boring

Yeah, the main contributors have been constantly whining about him for 10 years since he came down the escalator in June 2015, with another 4 to go. What a waste of the retirement golden years.

Cant hate Trump without wanting America to fail. You are a troll and flamer too.

Yes, you can. You see, the chief clown is steering the US towards failure and a lot of us hate him for that.

Oh, and I see the knickers knot situation is still not resolved. That's a pity.

And? Why is this so important to you? Lots of people hate Trump because he gives us so many reasons to, and has done for a long time. But why do you let that knot your knickers?

I don't get it.

Wrong!

I have told you before to stop mixing hatred of Trump with hatred of the USA.

However the more he dishes the US reputation then yes there may be more hatred for the US.

People like you with their totally blinkered MAGAmaniacal spouting do your cause nothing but harm!

to be fair, Jingthing is not a troll. He has his views.

And also to be fair, the tariffs are highly confusing and controversial causing fears in people's minds about how it will affect the economy. It's a fair topic. Not sure anyone is sure how the tariffs will play out.

I've quoted you because you're 100% correct. Sad really how grown people have become so hate filled and child like. Interesting how this forum isn't filled with Trump's achievements. How many threads have you seen started about the borders being shut down? DEI finished? Only two genders? Trying to stop the Ukraine/Russian war? Trillions of dollars of investment coming in? Men out of women's sports? DOGE finding billions of waste? The list can go on but the reason that threads such as these aren't started on here is because there's no attention seeking, unhinged, irrational posters who support what Trump's doing feeling the need to do so. The fact is that the existence of a particular syndrome get's reinforced over and over again by threads like this one.

There's so much drivel in this post I'm amazed your PC didn't shut down in shame. I'm not gonna counter every turd you served up but have to address the biggest one  - the mother-turd:

"Trillions of dollars of investment coming in". Reeeeealy?! Trump slapping on tariffs left and right, high and low, on people and penguins, creating a profound sense of fiscal uncertainty to the point where bonds and shares go down at the same time, and you think trillions of $ are coming in???:cheesy:

Seems to me he doesn't give a crap what happens to Stonks, he said so himself, and that he wants a weaker dollar. It's all a big experiment, but whether it works or fails The Don won't lose. So naturally he'll be making sure his own ass is covered.

Suck it up little people!

Hence Donny Jr's move into crypto and Big Don's embrace of crypto for the nation. They are hedging.

Up to your usual standard. As for trillions of dollars coming in I think you need to do a bit of research. Try Google. Here's one of many articles. Note the source. MSN. It's actually taken from Bloomberg but that's behind a pay wall.

The article was written on the 4th of March, so almost a full month before s**t-show day "Liberation Day".

Wanna try again?

I guess he genuinely believes everything Trump does sucks.

You are one of the few on the fence - not sure about Trump - posters. You might like Jon Oliver's take on the tariffs from last night on youtube. Though he is a lefty  it seemed to me  a reasonably detailed telling of the story with a bit of comedy thrown in that might be good for someone who cannot decide whether Trump  is playing 4 dimensional chess or he has handled the whole issue like a doofus.

The Great Leap Forward, a disastrous economic and social campaign in China from 1958 to 1962, resulted in a famine that is estimated to have killed between 23 and 36 million people. This famine, also known as the Great Chinese Famine, was primarily caused by the government's policies, including collectivization of agriculture, forced labor, and unrealistic production targets, which led to widespread starvation

If you only knew something about history……

Trump followers simply look like playing  with the illusion of the Golden Age past.

Totally disregarding the reality(made by own country's manufactures after 1970s).

Raising tariff won't bring their jobs and industrial capability back.

Once upon a time(until 1950-60s), US was the only superpower(both in economy and military might) in the world.

But time changed.

After 1970s, their manufacturing industries accelerated their departure for the third world nations(for the lower wage=lower cost of production).

By now, America has been so used to the consumption of the cheaper goods made outside of their country.

And taking it for granted for decades.

How can they believe they are able to turn their clock back, in the way they dream of, while those factories they used to have No Longer Exist on their own soil?

Even if some might do so, the cost of resuming domestic production will be enormous.

Cost of plant construction and the cost labor today, a lot more than old time.

They will certainly be unable to make what the market wants at the price most people can easily afford.

Matter of simple arithmetic.

How can they expect to be able to buy the goods made in USA, cheaper than the ones made in the countries of a lower wage?

Price of merchandise always comes with the cost of production.

No exceptions wherever they are produced.

A voice of reason, in the wilderness of slogans and delusion. Thanks for your rationale. Totally correct. It is all a huge illusion and a massive amount of destruction over what will no doubt turn out to be a Frankensteinian experiment in hubris.

Guess you're right. Never see anything about the success of shutting down the borders. The loony left seem to have put this on ignore. Just chase as many (what they think) negatives they can manufacture. It's simply pitiful.

MAGAs whining, as usual..

That was in January 2024 so it's a bit late. But we know it's not easy to fulfill promises!

Were they ever there?

The tech investors are a lot like government. They keep announcing the same investments repeatedly and even then the amounts are inflated to include tax subsidies and other indirect amounts and they use multi year periods. The $1billion investment then becomes $200 million or $100 million annually over the  project period when the fluff is removed.

Not that  the investments are not good or there, it's just that the  way these investments are presented is misleading. And no, this is not a swipe at the current government, because it is a common activity everywhere. They try  to get as much positive PR out of the investment. One sees it at its peak during pre-election campaigns when incumbent governments  keep announcing big projects, but they are the same projects previously announced.
