Time for the China Solution https://www.currentaffairs.org/news/china-knows-how-to-deal-with-its-billionaires If Musk had been given the Jack Ma treatment, a major social-media platform would not have transformed into a cesspool of racism and misogyny, and there might not be a President Trump laying waste to everyone’s basic constitutional rights (and the world economy) today. That would be a better outcome than the one we’re living with right now. Or imagine if U.S. officials broke up Amazon into several competing companies, the way China did with Alibaba, and sent Jeff Bezos on a Ma-esque mandatory vacation for a few years. There is no particular reason we can’t do those things; only the political will is lacking. But instead, we’ve taken the opposite path to China. We’ve allowed our American oligarchs to pretty much do whatever they want, whenever and however they want. As a result, they now dominate our government and our economy from top to bottom. -

A popular and common opinion - but not one I agree with. I can't say what else happened but in the video, it was the bouncer that started the violence. Thai bouncers need to learn that their job is not to attack people, its to stop disturbances. There is no doubt that this man was an idiot but it goes with the territory. Venues that sell alcohol should expect drunken idiots and deal with them appropriately. Any one of those kicks and punches could have killed the idiot - would you be saying he deserved it if he died? I don't know about Thailand but people have been killed and seriously injured by bouncers in the UK - which is why the trade is now regulated and bouncers have to be licenced. -

I’ve backpacked through Southpark Asia for years… now i feel quietly pushed out
so your one of those people from Khaosan road who have dreadlocks in your hair, don't bath very often and some have no shoes, you stay in 250 baht hostel rooms when you splurge the spending. sorry, your not welcome here, they want quality tourists that spend money ... not backpackers. maybe south Sudan or Burundi in Africa will be more suited. -

But but but it can't be the safe and effectives they did all the studies for years and years now proving no link....er well perhaps not !! but hopefully RFKjr will actually get these long overdue studies underway in the US and many other countries follow up with their own studies...interesting times ahead.
