A foreign man's behaviour during Thailand's Songkran festival has ignited online outrage after a TikTok user highlighted his inappropriate actions. The video shows him deliberately splashing water on women's faces and chests, smiling smugly as he did so, and allegedly spitting at people and throwing ice on April 15th.

Captured in the footage, the man, donning a white shirt and a hat, stands by a water container with a glass in hand. As women approach, he throws water forcefully at their faces, leaving them visibly shocked. This troubling pattern reportedly continued with several women, who reacted angrily and almost retaliated.

The TikTok user, @yupapanbenz, condemned the man's conduct, noting that he even spat into the water container before his supply ran out and he departed. The post has since garnered significant criticism, with viewers decrying the man's manners and lack of respect for cultural celebrations.

This incident has sparked a broader online dialogue about the importance of respecting local customs and practices, especially during widely celebrated festivals like Songkran. As festivities continue, participants are reminded to embrace the spirit of celebration with consideration and respect for others, reported The Thaiger.

Don't see what's the big deal.

Stuff like this goes on, all the time over Songkran.

You go to an area that's throwing water about then want to complain about how it's done.

Sorry, just stupid moaning from social media knobs. :coffee1:

At least he never used a fire hose and a water truck, so probably not Chinese. Be a dumb Aussie, Brit or Yank.😄

Had to teach girlfriends son not to spray people in the face with the water gun.  Grown man trying to instigate a reaction from these ladies by being disrespectful. Surprised he didn't take a few knocks to the head from a plastic water gun.

How is it nonsense?

I've literally witnessed thai bar girls pour entire 100 litre buckets of ice could water over people heads, squirt foreigners driving motorbikes which resulted in a crash and then they laughed about it...

Nonsense? I think not. They can dish it out but can't take it back!

Most people don't hit you hard in the face.

Seems to be mostly Falangs/foreigners.

These guys remind me of the kids in school who saw PE class as an opportunity to hurt other students.

I guess the word is bully.

You are talking out of your a$$.

I walked the length of Sukhumvit Soi 4 on Tuesday afternoon from Benjakiti Park entrance to Sukhumvit road.

I described what I experienced

You obviously think you know more than you possibly could.

Many names for that, I won't belabor the point.

When were you last in a Songkran battle zone?

You disagree with my observations about my experience, ok.

But you said "You have obviously never been to Songkran in BKK or Pattaya."

I was just in Songkran in BKK.

Go forth and multiply with yourself.

I see the same behavior by many many Thais

Expand

No you don’t.

This type of behavior is almost 100 percent expat male age 20 to 50 and a loser.

Thais don’t spit in their water they throw and they don’t try to injure your face.
