A violent domestic dispute erupted in the early hours of the morning on the 16 April, resulting in a 41-year-old man sustaining a serious knife injury in Pattaya’s Soi Ko Phai.

Emergency services were alerted at 02:35 by the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Centre and rushed to the scene alongside officers from Pattaya City Police Station.

The incident took place in front of a popular roadside stall selling fried meatballs, where a crowd of onlookers had gathered. Upon arrival, rescue personnel found Mr Adisak, a resident of Chonburi Province, with a severe laceration to his right ear, reportedly caused by a knife. Blood covered his face as he received first aid before being urgently transported to hospital.

The alleged attacker, 48-year-old Ms Uraiwan, the vendor at the food stall and Mr Adisak’s former wife, did not attempt to flee and remained at the scene to cooperate with police.

In a statement to officers, Ms Uraiwan explained that she and Mr Adisak had been separated for over five years. Despite this, he reportedly continued to harass her, especially when intoxicated. She alleged that he often became jealous when she spoke to male customers and frequently caused disturbances at her stall.

Earlier in the night Mr Adisak had allegedly been heavily drinking during Songkran celebrations and began harassing her again. When she asked him to leave, he reportedly slapped her across the face. Unable to tolerate the abuse any longer, Ms Uraiwan admitted to grabbing a knife and slashing him in retaliation.

After regaining her composure, she called for rescue services to assist him.

Police are continuing to investigate the matter and have yet to confirm whether charges will be filed.

Yeah, looks like the stupid no-real-man figure deserved it. Constantly harassing her and slapping. He just went too far. Moreover, ex-husband, separated for over 5 years. He was just to stupid to get it!
