The other day I noticed before I started pumping the gas it already said like 4.5 I know it doesn’t sound a lot it’s just the idea of it but then as you’re pumping it and I started wondering if they teach you before they start pumping it do you really think you’re getting a full liter when it says later cause they can send them to anything I want to live in a country with a gas tank completely empty with 50 L and I was at a gas station and the guy stop saying he was like 72 L the owner happens to be pulling in and I tell him the same thing then he says OK just pay for 50 L and I say wait a minute the car had a fourth of a tank in it I’m trying to point out is if they can steal money before they start pumping in how many pumps are really at a liter I believe probably all them are set for a little less than a liter cause there’s no checks and balances here TIT

Commas, full stops. They were invented for a reason.

Why do Americans call it gas? Unless it is LPG

It's short for gasoline.

Why do Aussies call it a boot, unless they wear it on their foot?

It is thought that as far back as the mid 1800's a British company marketed a fuel product under the name Cazeline (named after the inventor John Cassell). It is thought that this became adapted into gasoline in America....

.... and thus: Gas....

Where as in the UK Petroleum comes from Latin: petra (rock) + oleum (oil) - literally rock oil...

.... and thus: Petrol....

Why do Americans call it a trunk, unless it's attached to an elephant?

Isn't that a liquid?

Indeed...  Liquefied Petroleum Gas...

Gas refers to the category of fuel, where as liquid / liquified refers to the state.

Wait, you're saying gasoline isn't a gas.

Shouldn't it be called go-juice then?

Because they used to put a trunk on the back of the car when they were traveling someplace.

P.S. but you could put suit cases there too.

First of all the pump was a brand new pump and it does it went to zero and then within a second it was reading like four or five before the guy started pumping next time you go to a gas station before they pump it and you watch the pump closely it’ll go to zero but then all of a sudden it clicks and it will be a few already on the middle before church popping it my main concern is are they really pumping in a full liter cause you could set those pumps up to pump Less than a liter but the digital machine will say 1 L on the gas station pump these new pumps when I was in this other country would happen all the time TIT
