A vegetable vendor from Bo Win market in Chon Buri has overnight turned into a millionaire, securing the first prize in the Thai government lottery worth a whopping 12 million baht. The fortunate vendor, known as Daeng, alongside her husband, clinched the life-changing sum after purchasing lottery tickets during a religious merit-making visit to a temple.

The draw, which took place on April 16, unveiled the winning number as 266227. Almost instantly, social media lit up with stories of their good fortune, particularly amplified by a Facebook post from a user named พระคุณ พ่อแม่, who shared the jubilant news and extended congratulations to the ecstatic couple.

The couple acquired the lucky tickets serendipitously following their trip to Vimol Temple. Daeng's husband narrated how the decision to buy the tickets was made spontaneously on their way back home, a choice that ultimately changed their lives.

In the aftermath of the announcement, the Bo Win market erupted in celebrations. Fellow vendors and shoppers gathered to extend their congratulations, unanimously suggesting that the couple temporarily close their stall and celebrate by distributing their produce for free.

The atmosphere in the market was infectiously joyful, with many expressing their excitement and happiness for Daeng and her husband. The news brought a sense of shared elation among the community, amplified by the couple's unexpected windfall, reported The Thaiger.

Thais just can't stop showing off. The vegetable vender maybe a victim of a serious crime even murdered. Let's hope not and I wish him well for the future. I was always taught to keep my cards close to my chest.
