A 48-year-old man has been arrested by Lak Song Police for breaking into a dental clinic and stealing valuable items including gold jewellery and amulets, allegedly in an attempt to fund his partying at Sanam Luang.

The suspect, identified as Mr. Nukul, also known by the nickname “Yim,” was apprehended on the pavement near the entrance of Phraeng Sapphasat Road in Phra Nakhon district on the night of 16 April. Officers from Lak Song Police Station, in coordination with the Metropolitan Police Division 9, tracked him down following a burglary reported on 15 April at PBS Medical Complex in Bang Khae Nuea.

The stolen items included a gold-plated amulet necklace, gold and diamond rings, gold and silver bracelets, a gold wristwatch, various Buddhist amulets, and other personal effects. Upon arrest, police recovered the stolen goods along with the suspect’s mobile phone and clothing believed to have been worn during the break-in.

During interrogation, Mr. Nukul confessed to the burglary, claiming he was unemployed and wanted money to enjoy himself after the Songkran festivities. Police background checks revealed he has a history of similar offences, including night-time thefts in Suphan Buri in 2017 and Thonglor in 2014.

He has been charged with theft and handling stolen property, and is now in custody awaiting further legal proceedings at Lak Song Police Station.
