A 36-year-old Myanmar national was killed in a horrific road collision after being struck by two vehicles while attempting to cross a road in Pathum Thani province on the night of 16 April. Neither car stopped at the scene.

The incident occurred around 21:00 on Tiwanon Road, directly opposite a company in Ban Mai Subdistrict, Mueang Pathum Thani District. Police investigators, forensic doctors from the Ministry of Justice, and volunteers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation responded to the scene.

The victim, identified only as Mr. A, sustained fatal injuries after being hit by a sedan while crossing the road. The impact threw his body across the central divide into the opposite lane, where he was struck a second time by another vehicle, killing him. His body was found dismembered, with parts scattered across the road. Rescue workers collected the remains for transfer to the Forensic Science Institute.

A security guard stationed nearby told police that the victim was attempting to cross the road in front of the company when he was struck by the first car. He was then flung into oncoming traffic and hit again by a second vehicle, the make and model of which remain unknown.

The victim’s younger brother, aged 26, stated that his brother had gone to a nearby market and was on his way back to the workers’ camp when the tragedy occurred.

Pol. Lt. Col. Suwat Phoree, the investigating officer from Pak Khlong Rangsit Police Station, documented the scene and confirmed that the driver of the first car had already contacted authorities and would be questioned in due course.

Investigations are ongoing to identify the second car involved.
