A friend of mine told me that you should add the last country that bring you to thailand on the country where you boarded. Immigration don't care if you have started to fly from your country of origin. So if you have a layover to another airport, just add the connecting flight that will bring you to thailand

Completed my TDAC today as arriving on Monday. It is fairly straight forward , but frustrating that the drop down menu for your nationality would only work in landscape mode on my tablet then the other one would not

Took time trying to find the U.K. in the drop down menu and found the drop down menu all over the place.

Should have taken 5 minutes but took 10.

I agree.  I completed TDACs for myself and my son on 29 April (one application) and we arrived on 1 May.  The application took longer than it should as I couldn't find the country code for the UK (it's GBR).  We live in Thailand, so gave Thailand as our country of residence and our Thai address. I didn't complete the departure information.

We landed at 12.15 on 1 May and Passport Control was chaotic.  There were staff trying to check that passengers had a completed TDAC before joining the queues but many just rushed by.  The queues (lines) were long and we didn't get to an Officer for about 20 minutes.

A passenger before us was turned away for not having a TDAC and had to find his way back through the chaos to complete one at the kiosks before passport control.  It seemed easier and quicker to have a paper printout of the TDAC as Officers seemed to be taking ages to look at phones they were passed.

Other than that it was straightforward.

For "Country of residence", the trick is to type the first three letters of the country name, eg gre for Great Britain produces a pop-up with a few county names that  includes Great Britain; uni for United Kingdom gives a list that is too short to include that name, but continue trying and unit brings up the list that includes United Kingdom.

Of course, if I happen to know the ISO three-letter country code, eg SWI for Switzerland or GBR for Great Britain, this is the most direct way to fill in the field for the country of residence. (Lower-case letters are also accepted for the codes)

I noticed the same on my phone.

The trick is not to try to scroll, but to type the first three letters of the nationality, eg swi for Swiss, bri for British.

Just to confirm, if on an O visa 12 month retirement extension, we can choose THA as the country of residence is that still correct?

Just got in from Hong Kong. Very smooth. No checks at departure check-in. BKK immigration briefly glanced over the confirmation email on my phone but didn’t scan QR code nor check any details. This was LTR fast track lane so maybe less stringent. Plenty of staff around to support travellers who need assistance.

I wish the system would have the option to create a traveller profile so one doesn’t have to type in all the details every time, like eg the equivalent Singapore app. Feature wish for the next release …

They've stated there will be an app in the future.  That might come along with some type of account or profile, even if just saved on your device.
