Why so many conspiracy theorists and what to do about them

For better or worse social media has permeated all jobs  even industrial ones   it has permeated just about everything the only escape being away from the Wifi and cell phone towers in deepest darkest Antarctica  perhaps ???

It is a personal choice. Scroll on FaceBook or pick up a book. All one needs to do is use public transportation anywhere to see which of these two options is the most pervasive.

More conspiracy theories are not at all.   They are truths denied by authorities, to stop us becoming intrigued; and then investigating further.

Does the majority of the industry workforce have accounts on the major social media platforms, on which they are active?

You would have to ask them

But they would not access in the industries I worked in.

Paid to work, not paid to play.

Ironic to say that on a Thai centric forum.

Sure. They have a product to sell. Like anyone selling the idea the moon landing was faked. The ones with legitimate information thrive over time. Do you think the owners have a particular agenda to hide fake moon landings. I would have thought if you are hanging your hat on, to what to many is a fairly obscure theory with a high likelihood of being wrong, you would want to see what AI has to say and if it could explain the issue.

It is so good that god knows where it will take us. I am retiring shortly  and I reckon in a few years it will be able to do most of my job.

Can probably do it now if they bothered to program it truth be told.

I know what the official explanation is.

AI tools like Gemini are very useful in the sense that they quickly collect and aggregate information, and present it in a coherent manner. For example, I used it to obtain 'neutral' information such as names and dates of Apollo missions. But for political or contentious issues, they are not good sources, in my view, as they are tainted by the bias of their programmers.

It will make many millions redundant ..what are all those unemployed

and perhaps disenfranchised people to do with themself ???  join up to fight the next war perhaps ??

The silly part is everyone thinks certain jobs will go but no theirs. Automation destroyed many manual jobs on the 50's 60's and 70's.

AI will destroy the jobs a few levels up. Engineers, accountants and the management level will be decimated.

The beauracrats in the public service will no longer be required, thankfully.

Eventually, and not in too many years, there will one person, or a group of people dictating to Ai policy, and it will be implemented.

There will not be an appeal process to anything. Due process in the American sense will happen very quickly and in the most parts, won't have a good outcome.

Electricians, plumbers, builders and manual workers will be safe for a short while. But not a long time unfortunately.

Under the Agenda 2030 program, they were supposed to be dependent on a monthly government handout, tied to a digital ID and mandatory things such as vaccinations. No vax booster = no handout. This has definitely been derailed and will likely not happen, but the transition is tough. Once AI is regulated (and it will), it will probably be illegal to have it do what a human can do in lots of industries.

The agenda 2030 program?

What's that?

Indeed. I see so many people who are on board with it now but don't realise they are slated for replacement too, once they have helped feed and perfect the beast.

Pretty easy when you have a team of engineers working on it. There were some smart people employed.

The cameras were unmodified.

As I said there some smart people employed, including the flyers themselves.

Why did the cameras need to modified? The air pressure was minus 1 atmosphere, bugger all really. Underwater photography at multiples of atmospheric pressure was well understood then.

A world-spanning collectivist program devised by the World Economic Forum. "You will own nothing and be happy" is the infamous slogan. Also tied to The Great Reset, which was a very interesting and telling book written by Klaus Schwab.

Ah, I see. Thank yo

Do you think the population of the  planet will allow this to happen?

I can only hope that...that is true but remain sceptical until  it becomes reality  and the big red emergency stop button is hardwired to every instance for 100% 'safety' (of the children)

The world population would probably have complied, unfortunately. But leaders of nations unaligned on this globalist project (Trump, Putin, Xi, Orban and the list goes on) have derailed it.

My view is that it will be uncontrollable. Not necessarily in a bad way, depending on your perspectivem

We're currently in the grey area which follows any major dirsuption, and will indeed have to wait and see. This is one issue which the people are not okay with, as far as I can see so far. Just a big 'no' from the majority of ordinary folk who are still of working age.

Sounds like a good thing.

Can't see Islamic nations signing on either.

Maybe just a Euro Orwellian 1984 dream.

1 minute ago, emptypockets said:

Definitely not indeed.

1 minute ago, emptypockets said:

Why?

I agree with you that Islamic nations would not be on board with Agenda 2030, because of their defiance towards the West and the fact that these traditional cultures would not be easy to convert to collectivism. There used to be a network of subversion within the political apparatus of the Middle East (controlled by the US and Israel) which would probably have pushed for globalist endeavours, but it was removed by Trump as soon as he took office in 2017 (the great Saudi purge).

I am quite afraid that it will indeed be uncontrollable..like the internet before it but magnitudes of order more dangerous for humanity.

I have my eye on a bicycle that will be ordered online, the tricky part is narrowing down the correct size given that bicycles of the same size vary by manufacturer and model due to geometry of the bar angles and my size is dead center between two sizes which makes it a bit challenging. So what I did was load my dimensions into Gork along with several bicycle charts of bikes that I know that are a fit size wise and geometrically balanced along with the bike chart I’m eyeing. Also I loaded a chart of a bicycle with incomplete geometry data on the internet, of which a shop here in cm happens to have where I took the measurements, did this to verify Gorks accuracy and Gork nailed it with the correct measurements.

Conspiracy theorists will continue to put a negative spin on it.

But there are many positives to owning nothing.

For instance, you can rent a different car every month.

And car ownership costs will be less because you are renting so no need to pay all the associated fees. Plus no need to worry about parking.

It's only because you have a pre-conceived notion that everything the establishment does is evil, you will obviously interpret this as a diabolical plot to control you and keep you small. Ie ownership has been traditionally seen as a sign of status in the world.

It's all a matter of perception.

Because that is exactly what it is..the elites will keep their private jets and exclusive island bunkers eating real food  whilst 'you'

eat the bugs own nothing and feel happy 🤮

My nickname in that group you mention was The Minister of Optimism. I took a lot of flack for my views, understandably. They haven't changed, though: as far as I can see, we are changing eras and for the best… which doesn't mean it will be a smooth transition.

Did you read el gato yet ?    He does seem to share your optimism ,  that the craziness from the usual suspects is unsustainable .   "hold on tight"  seems to be a reasonable forecast .... as unfortunately the Minister of BS (yours truly) ,  is kept on a leash by the everlasting "legal procedures" .   Which are so fkd up that its like watching a comedy/tragedy  with all the nonsense going on,  and really what one wants to do is kick all their butts ,  take all their ill-gained riches ,  and throw em to the lions .

Take my chains off !!     ok, ok,  i'm ok .  New years resolution is to just really try to ignore transam   uhh,  i mean all the static and just ease into this retirement mindset.

Hope DT and company stay strong.  Kinda kills me to see that he has to make deals with the devils ( speakin of the Masters of Ai) .   I also agree that the covid needle has changed, but a great number of humans have been so dumbed down , and many more destroyed by the monopoly game which has them bankrupt or near it .   All subjects (along with medical mafia)  for other "conspiracy theory"  discussions.

Cheers
