I'd believe it more if he wasn't on here all day writing angry comments that don't make much sense.

Perhaps he works online in his native language...  🤔

Frisco Kid's reply is 90% correct.

He missed one thing that many do if they are on youtube/facebook etc.

An online course or some sort of "lesson on how to be as good as me", or sign up for my website to learn more.

There are still a few punting this crap.

To be a true digital nomad, I think you have to have all the right skills and be an expert at things like marketing, coding, anything A.I, Excel and have a proven background. Also, be employed by a large company.

But it seems most don't.

Digital dickheads is a term that came out a few years ago on youtube between someof the thai vloggers.

<deleted> packers was another term.

Some thai vloggers started punting this crap and a few started calling them out for it and then the term E begging started.

So, earning money while in Thailand, but with no work permit. Then doing multiple boarder runs.

That's 15K per day.  How the hell do you make that?

Running a lot of affiliate business websites, working as an SEO Executive and selling backlinks from a portfolio of 250 of my own websites. If a website have traffic and good reputation, you can easily sell a backlink for 400-700 euro. So, if I just worked a little bit harder, I could probably make far over 1 million per month. But of course, there are a lot of costs involved too, so the gross sale and income is much higher.

You, on the other hand, can talk directly to me, instead of talking behind my back if you need more knowledge. Yes, I mainly work to my local home market, but also to Norwegian, English, German and USA market.

USD160,000 per Anum.  What do you do with all that money?

You could live easily on USD1000 per month in Thailand.

How do you figure I can live easy on 1000 USD per month? I have two daughters in private school and house in Isaan, as well as an apartment in Pattaya, wife with expensive taste and I also have expensive taste. How the heck do you live, then I mean live and not just scraping by, on 1000 USD. We use at least 3-4k per month, and after that invest the rest.

I have no idea of your circumstances, the USD1000 was just a point of reference.  🤷‍♂️

So, if this is true, why do you seem to spend so much time on here, and why do you often seem so grumpy?

I would have thought that being able to live a lavish lifestyle and being a high status person, you would appear happier.

Or does a lack of contentment drive you to overachieve?

I seriously doubt pushing a mop is a desired skill in the digital nomad world.

Food vloggers are the most popular on youtube. But you have to act over the top.

Digital nomads are a form of locust. Move from place to place, consume services, occupy locations and milk as much as they can from the region. When they're bored they move on and trash the next place.

I was in Chiang Mai over Songkran and went to a farang food restaurant. They dedicated an entire page of the menu to asking people not to sit at their table for hours nursing a single meal.

I work remote from my computer but I never work outside my house or go co-working spaces etc... so being a digital nomad is something more than merely working remote.

Go onto YouTube and search for "digital nomad koh phangan" - It seems to be the mecca for it in Thailand. A low-budget, laptop-packer's paradise.

I recall about a year or two ago, one of the news channels, perhaps BBC, did a small video piece on it, but I can't locate the clip now on YouTube.

Yes there's a circuit I'm aware of, Pai -> Chiang Mai -> Koh Phangan. There's also a "new age" element too and lots of dope smokers etc...

The profession of computer programmer allows people to work from anywhere in the world and receive a good salary.

Indeed I am a programmer and can attest. Only well paid thanks to my boss. I've been self employed before and dirt poor scraping by in Thailand.

So you're enabling spammers on the internet and consulting other spammers how to game the system?

I guess you don´t know the business. people who don´t know should actually not comment. That just gets silly.

But by all means develop how you came to that conclusion, and how affiliate business are spamming anybody? How do you gamble the system. Google search engine has built in algorithms, that punish websites and activities online which are gaming the system. They have gotten much better at that now. Just tell me how you think, or leave thing you have no clue about alone.

What a ridiculous reply! Why do I need to show happiness to a bunch of sad people living their life in Thailand only complaining and think the country should change for them. Among my circle of friends and towards people I really know, as well as to guests in our shop and restaurant I am always considered to be happy.

Exactly! All persons living have different standards and different expectations in life. I did not move to Thailand because it´s cheaper. I use more money here than I ever did in Sweden. But, I don´t care as I can.

I'm no expert but when I hear "selling backlinks" I'm thinking you're helping spammy websites with garbage content beat the search engines. Fair play, it's money in the bank.

It's not ridiculous at all. It's reasonable to assume that someone with so much success would be happy, and then to question why they are not.

Even your reply here suggests a fair amount of unhappiness.

Are your customers mostly Thais?

It’s hard to disagree. To me, it’s just spam-packing — pushing out content that nobody really wants or needs, but finding ways to shove it in people’s faces anyway. It’s the kind of junk you get in your inbox that either gets caught by a spam filter or makes you hit unsubscribe the moment you see it.

I think we’ve reached a point where, if someone genuinely wants to buy something, there are countless ways to find it online without needing constant content pushing products at them. It’s just force-fed advertising, and it’s completely unnecessary.

But as you said, if there’s a way to make a buck from it, then people will do it. It still beats having a real job. Just not exactly the kind of thing that’s going to impress anyone if you bring it up at a dinner party. They will probably even consider you an Internet pest for hire.

I started using ChatGPT for programming work when researching. The web is now filled with so much spam and garbage it's become hard to filter  through. It's not perfect by any means but is usually better than using Google.

I use a combination of ChatGPT and Grok and spend much less time reading stuff on websites in general. Not because of the spam or the garbage necessarily, but just because it's faster and more comprehensive. But I still do use search engines if I'm trying to locate photos or news articles. DuckDuckGo is good. No ads and no tracking. The only thing I don't like about it is the new articles they give you in the search results are typically from news sites, but then they have been republished or aggregated on MSN. I prefer the actual news website and not going onto MSN so, if I'm searching for news, I still normally go onto Google because it provides direct news website links,. But that's about all I use it for. Even before the chat bots came along, I rarely went onto Google, mostly just DuckDuckGo.

No, I have already explained the countries I work towards. How can you ask such question? Like I said, I am happy
