Jimbo Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 As George is not member number 1, I was wondering who was the first member and who started this Forum. I am just curious.
Explorer Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 Dr Pat Pong should be able to answer the question ... I think.. Explorer
george Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 A bit of history: This forum opened 2002-11-19. I guess the first actual post (after initial testing) was made by member Luma: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=34 After we changed software from Ikonboard to Invison Power Board some of the very first member number and post numbers was somehow screwed up. The very first member was "Administrator", they guy who installed the first board. The second member was me, the third member was dr_pat_pong.
huski Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 just a note, if a member's name is changed it will increase their Member No.: as the system considers the name change as a new member yet their previous posts/avatar remain the same.
Jimbo Posted July 19, 2004 Author Posted July 19, 2004 Thanks George! Nice to know that bit of history Jimbo

george Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 Fester is still around as Admin, but mainly does the main website at www.thaivisa.com. He helps me out with the forum on holidays and so on. But he doesn't post so much, just hides around as a submarine!

A side effect is a blurry keyboard, and an addled brain.

Fester had the swallow surgically removed, so it is a case of simply pouring it down. That'd wow 'em in one of the Bay pubs Bronco. George would like a break from Fester, so he might shout him a p*ssup in the Antipodes. Might win a dollar running Fes against the locals in an imbibing competition.
Jimbo Posted July 21, 2004 Author Posted July 21, 2004 Hi George and Dr. PP, Except for you two, who is the oldest member still actively posting?
george Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Rinrada, Sunbelt, coughtintheact, seavisionburma, francois is a few that come to mind. Click here for the list from the very beginning: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?&a...key=joined&st=0

You are possible the only one here who can afford drinking expensive red wine 24/7
p1p Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 I must admit to being a tad confused. I have email from ThaiVisa dated 9th February 2000 confirming my membership. How come??
dr_Pat_Pong Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 I must admit to being a tad confused. I have email from ThaiVisa dated 9th February 2000 confirming my membership. How come?? The esoteric world of computers perhaps ? The TV pantomime didn't exist then
p1p Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 Seriously though. I have a whole host of messages to and from ThaiVisa throughout year 2000, none in 2002 but starting again on 3 December 2002. ???
george Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 We bought the expired Thaivisa.com domain in August 2001, if I remember correct, and managed to aquire the member list from the previous owner.
Jimbo Posted July 23, 2004 Author Posted July 23, 2004 George, are you the only owner or is Dr P also co owner?
