photo size for 30 day extension (on a visa exempt) and photo size for non O marriage

Hi, just checking to see if anyone knows if the photo size for a 30 day extension and photo size for a non O marriage visa are the same?  I have googled extensively and they seem to be different sizes.  Is the visa extension 4x 6 cm, and the non O visa 3.5cm x 4.5cm?  Many thanks.

That's correct however it certainly is not important

The important one is for passport renewal.

If you are obtaining photo near immigration office the print shops will be aware of what you require

The photos are taken at the immigration office.

Probably varies depending which immigration office...recently at Jomtien the photo shop on premises gave me a photo about 2x the size I usually use  and the immigration officer  said it was ok...and it was because I got my visa extension.

I normally give them a 35mm x 45mm color print...

the shop probably gave a 40mm x 60mm I didn't measure it  just looked huge and was why bigger than the box on the application form indicating where to attach a photo.

The OP doesn't state his location but I recall that in Pattaya, if you go to pretty much any photo shop and ask for "passport-size" photos, then Immigration accept them for visa extensions.

IMO it's worth getting a few and just keeping them for when you need them.

At Jomtien they are now getting a bit picky about the age of photos

I had one that was less than 6 months old  but the I/O said  she didn't believe it so made me get a new ( "bigger" ) one at the onsite photo shop.

for me passport size photos are 35mm x 45mm and that ha been accepted  at Jomtien since I have been doing extensions (the stone age)

In the past I printed out a whole A4 sheet of "passport sized photos" and

now they are too old ( like me 😋 )

My experience at Jomtien is about 5 years old so maybe things have changed. I always think if you look like your passport picture you're probably very unwell! Maybe they now compare the picture you supply with the one they take? I don't know.

I only mentioned going and asking for passport sized pics 'cos that's what I did and it worked - then! I don't recall actually measuring them but I got a load of them. Sadly the "hansum man" in the pics isn't quite as hansum any more - tempus fugit regrettably. 😢
