Fourteen years after his first trip to the illegal Israeli settlements in Palestine, Theroux returns to find entrenched hostility, tacit government endorsement and a worsening security situation

One state solution.

All Israeli land become the official country of Palestine, all IDF military hardware is sold and the funds used to rebuild Gaza etc, anybody or families wishing to relocate will be relocated and settled in UN nations, UN boots on the ground, democratic elections, timeframe 10 years.

Israel, and Israeli settlement really is an embarrassing blight on the so called civilized world.

If Palestinians had the military capabilities, Israel would've been wiped off the map long ago.

You only pity Hamas / Palestinians because their military mite amounts to hanging from Jeeps waving guns around.

I dread to think what the world would be like if Palestinians had real military power.

That would be illegal under International al law and as Israel would resist , it would end up as the U,N fighting against Israel and Israel might just win that war

   Hamas are Palestinians though .

You despise them and pity them at the same time ?

Having seen the first 15 mins all I can say about the settlers is they are all building on land that is not theirs, it is the State of Palestine, under International Law.

A topic clean up has been completed.

In 2024, about 80% of the 7.2  million Jewish citizens of Israel were sabras, or Israelis born in Israel.   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Israel    Would they be allowed to remain in the land of their birth or would they be forced out?  What other country or countries would be willing to accept them?

Are Jews allowed to have a national homeland?  Where would it be, if not Israel?  The existence of a Jewish majority home country is the only real guarantee for the survival of Jews should a new attempt at a Nazi-style Holocaust arise.  Who will protect the Jews if they don't do it themselves?

Great, off topic post.

I've now seen the whole programme and them Settlers are not wired up correctly, that's for sure.

All the land they've grabbed is illegal under International Law.

Its not actually an International law .

You could name that International law , if you want to prove me wrong .

(BTW, posting a random link wouldn't prove anything  )

How about Article 49(6) of the Fourth Geneva Convention (1949) for a start? You know, the one that Israel signed, that International Law.

Any other questions?

Israel didn't deport or transfer any Israelis into Judea , so that rule doesn't apply .

Also, There was no Country in Judea before Israel went there , so that law doesn't apply again to Israel/Judea

what will become of the Arabs who migrated to the  lands now called Palestine and Gaza? Most of them are not descended from original inhabitants. This always comes as an unpleasant reality to Palestinian liberationists.

Over 1 million arabs recruited from the region built the Suez canal. A large number settled in the land called Israel. Will they too be asked to leave.

Not defending some of the settlers or land thieves as some are reprehensible bigots. However, they are in some cases settling on land that was originally  part of greater Israel prior to the Arab expansionism and the Turkish  colonial rule.

Clutching at straws.

“The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.”

Israel hasn't done that? They are doing it as we speak.

Please watch the documentary as you may learn something instead of justifying barbarity by semantics.

As I stated previously , there wasn't previously a Country on the land of Judea , so on that basis the land cannot be being occupied .

Although it is a complex matter and as international lawyers disagree on the law , we here will not be ale to come to a conclusion

Ok, so using semantics you say Israel is not illegally occupying land. Right?

They are not building "outposts" on occupied land which then get approved by the government and turned in to "approved" settlements under Israeli law (but not under international law). That isn't happening, because of.......words.

The actual law is unclear and as I haven't studied International law and also I am not an International  Judge , I cannot say whether its legal or illegal .

Ok, I see.

Didn't stop you defending them before though.

When your troops demand that local inhabitants stop harvesting their olive trees on their land because they don't like it, under threat of arrest, at gunpoint, and that's ok under the Occupying Powers law, Israel, go take a hike.

Yes, I don't leave a space before a question mark. 🙂

Yeah, that was tragic. Their land, their trees, not harming anyone, not armed, not aggressive, just picking olives.. And completely illegal under the international law that Israel is a signatory to. Only legal under Israels' Occupying laws.

I really wish some of the Israel defenders would watch this as I would be keen to know if they think it is justified or not.

Its my opinion that Jews should be able to live on the land called Judea (Judea doesn't actually mean Jew and that name dates back 1000's of years) , but the actual law isn't clear on that matter

They justify it through religion, the power of the gun and the fact that the most powerful nation on earth allows them to do it through veto at the UN, all because they the US Government are under the control of powerful lobbyists in the form of AIPAC.

We supported 361 pro-Israel Democratic and Republican candidates in 2024 with more than $53 million in direct support through AIPAC. We stand with those who stand with Israel.
