Aspirin definitely does increase risk of a brain bleed and should not be taken after head trauma.

I saw my doctor. He said it was a wart. Almost certainly benign but could maybe go cancerous. He suggested he would cut it out in a minor op and have a biopsy done on it. He was just poised , scalpel in hand , to proceed when he asked as an aside if I took aspirin. The affirmative answer stopped him in his tracks. Too much bleeding then so he told me to stop the aspirin and return in 10 days.

 

I thought he might be making a mountain out of a mole hill ( good pun that ) and have decided to let it wait until I am in the UK in August where they can freeze it out with liquid nitrogen. Less fuss IMO and no need for return visit to have stitches out.

Understood. My skin Dr. used laser to burn off as laser seals the capillaries. Saw a new Dr. for same, used liquid nitrogen as the blemishes were not so deep.

Get it checked out. I have had two removed and tested and both were cancerous. Made me much more aware of protecting the skin area that seems to be prone and also now get checked every 6 months. 🍻

Dr. Siri Chiewchanwit has a Clinic (week nights in MoonMuang Rd, ChiangMai just down from Ratchadameon Rd, next to a small temple.

His day surgery is on 5th Floor Sriphat Hospital (brown building).

He has a scope and can zoom in on your nodule and identify then advise you of appropriate action ie freeze or removal. His rates are very reasonable.

You need to be there before 8am to get a Cue number on the ground floor Reception where you Register; go to the 5th floor where his nursing staff are..he then arrives about 9am.

You won't be disappointed.

I do know how you feel. I've got a 'growth' high on my leg, which I 'know' what it is. Maybe we should attend the Institute of Dermatology near Victory monument and get them sorted. (I think I've got a lipoma on my back. That'll be fun... One/some day).

MoHs is indicated  only for areas where cosmetic  result is important so not applicable for OP. 

 

His options are, depending on what Dr thinks:

- leave it and just observe for changes

- remove it without biopsy (laser,   cryo)

-excise and biopsy. They can do what is called a "punch biopsy", very quick and simple , and usual appproach.  But if it comes back malignant may have to do further excision. Sometimes, if index of suspulicion is high  a wider excision may be done to begin with to increase odds of clear margins. 

If visual inspection by a dermatologist shows it's a seborrheic keratosis aka old-age warts (doesn't look like it to me, but they are extremely common and it's impossible to tell from a picture) therapy of choice is curettage, followed by hisopathological examination if deemed necessary.

BTW they usually come back.

A seborrheic keratosis – a benign, wart-like growth that’s common with aging and sun-exposed skin. It often appears brown, black, or light tan and has a waxy or scaly appearance.

A mole (nevus) – especially if it’s raised or crusty.

A keratoacanthoma – a low-grade skin tumor that can resemble squamous cell carcinoma.

A possible actinic keratosis – a precancerous lesion caused by sun damage that may feel rough or scaly.

 

Doesn't look like actinic keratosis to me......I have a lot of those patches

 

However, if the spot has changed in size, shape, color, or started bleeding, itching, or crusting, it’s very important to get it checked by a dermatologist.
