Or a prude? Many Americans ae prudes. years back I went to an isolated big lake in Australia with family / friends to swim and for water skiing. Several of the men / boys wore speedos. Several were surf life savers who always (for good reasons) wear speedos.

 

An American woman sitting nearby sent a note with a kid to ask the men to wear clothes or she would have someone call the police.

 

She was ignored but with maybe 20 minutes she had become very loud and convinced her Australian hosts to pack up and leave.
