Pick up trucks with heavy exhaust smokes

Worn injectors is a common problem causing diesel engines to smoke.

The difference between Thailand and Malaysia is obvious, I have never seen a bus, truck or car blowing smoke there. For all I know, there are death squads operating that drag errant drivers out of their vehicles, and execute them on the spot.

A great idea if that could be introduced here Lacessit. But let's let the death squad punish all of the other idiocy on the roads as well.

There are still plenty of smoke belchers in Malaysia but I see them mostly outside of the cities. The Police there do seem to do a much more thorough job than the BiB here

Its been yearly inspections after vehicle is 7yrs old for atleast 20yrs.

It is after 7 years, every year in order to get tax disc. 

The check usually consists of checking the VIN number, kicking the tyres, looking for smoke, or even a probe up the pipe?, sound the horn, drive round and see the brakes work..that's it.

Ok thanks. I guess since I haven't had a vehicle for longer than 7 years from new, I didn't know what is suppossed to happen. There is one coming up soon though.

If it is unburnt it is by definition not combustion. It's basically too much fuel pumped into the engine that it can't burn. Without the combustion it can't produce extra power , it's simply wasted fuel.

Is unburnt diesel. They need to get injectors serviced. More fool them money going down the drain / exhaust.
