What is it about Trump that triggers you and causes you so much angst and unease

Although I've been accused of being a MAGA Trump supporter, I'm not. Didn't vote for him, didn't vote for Harris either.
Some of his policies I support; many of his policies I don't support.

However, I'm just at a loss at the level of angst, unease, dread, suspicion, worry, concern, disgust, horror, hostility, and hatred that people have for him.  It's just the uniformity of these emotions between those who can not stop whinging about him that confuses me.  It's like those who are triggered by Trump are part of a Star Trek Borg-Mind hive.  There is so little that is unique about what those who dislike him are saying about him -  It's like they all read from the same script.

I find that fascinating!

Don't get me wrong.  Trump is a narcissistic megalomaniac with god-like delusions of grandeur, but for Pete's sake kids, most of the current crop of world leaders are narcissistic megalomaniac with god-like delusions of grandeur although Trump is beginning to out-trump them all.  Literally, “I’d like to be pope. That would be my number one choice.", and “I run the country and the world.

Everybody wants to rule the world!
-- Tears for Fears

And Trump is convinced he's the ruler of the world.  Freaking Amazing, 'eh?

But realistically, Obama was a narcissistic megalomaniac, Biden was a narcissistic megalomaniac, "Dubya" Bush and is cabinet were narcissistic megalomaniacs, the Clinton's are narcissistic megalomaniacs.  And no doubt, whomever is elected as the US President in 2028 will be a narcissistic megalomaniac.  The third party candidates whom I vote for are not narcissistic megalomaniacs, but they don't get elected either. Go figure?  Anyway, I digress.
Here's the bottom line for me.  Regardless of who is in office, I've never been so triggered as to completely lose my s**t and then spend the next four years consumed on social media or within my social circles being obsessed by whomever was selected to be the POTUS.  Never! So watching it happen - for the second time - is just.....fascinating.

So my terminally triggered Trump hating friends?  What the hell is it that causes you people so much obsession and grief about this guy?  I just don't understand.  Clue me in.

Dishonesty – Frequent false or misleading statements; fact-checkers recorded thousands during his presidency.

Egoism/Narcissism – Often seen prioritizing personal image, loyalty, and praise over institutional norms or collective good.

Divisiveness – Rhetoric that has amplified political polarization, often using inflammatory language.

Disrespect for institutions – Undermined trust in media, judiciary, intelligence agencies, and the electoral process.

Impulsiveness – Tendency to act or speak without forethought, especially on social media.

Vindictiveness – Known for attacking critics, firing dissenters, and holding grudges.

Authoritarian tendencies – Admiration for strongmen leaders and attempts to expand executive power.

Lack of empathy – Perceived insensitivity in moments of national tragedy or crisis.

Racially charged statements – History of remarks widely condemned as racist or xenophobic.

Disregard for truth or norms – Willingness to ignore precedent, challenge election outcomes, and push unfounded conspiracy theories.

I'm not saying you're wrong. You're not. But I've got to admit, I could attribute those attributes to virtually every POTUS over the last 30 years.  The proportions of those attributes may be a little different - more in some cases, less in other - and yet still, most US Presidents exhibit those same traits. Those traits are not unique to Trump at all.

Sad to say, Pres Trump is the best one, in my almost adult life up to now.  That would be starting with ...

... LBJ, a true embarrassment, and you'd think it couldn't get any worse

One after another, simply got more embarrassing, until the 21st, then the USA & NATO member countries all hit a new low.  Killing at leas 1 mill, and probably displacing another 10 mill.   And y'all think RU & CN are the evil ones :cheesy:

How any of you can respect any of your govts is mind boggling.

Impossible to be any worse than his predecessor or Biden, so with that, Trump is actually the best.

Although, probably the worse for me and my interest.  Since he's a big fan of weak USD, and inflation is already down.   So not expecting any nice COLA the next 4 years, along with a crap exchange rate.

In that aspect, makes Biden the best, for me, and why I wanted Harris to win.

You've logged onto a politcal forum and asking why people are posting about the American Presidet?

As far as I can see there are those posting topics supportive of his actions. And others with are not supportive. Plus lots of posts about lots of other subjects.

Posts suggesting people are picking on him seem a bit paranoid. Plus he's a big boy, on the proverbial big bucks.

The 21st President being Chester A Arthur, most known for those immortal lies in Diehard 3 and a former Collector of the Port of New York. So America has been on the wrong track since 1881. Ok.

The simple answer is the democrat backing mainstream media have brainwashed everyone into hating him.

They , edit, misreport or flat out lie about him 24/7, 92% of coverage of Trump is negative.

The Russia hoax, fine people, inject bleach, bloodbath, Mexicans are rapists.... the list of lies goes on but the brainwashed don't even bother to check... but then say his supporters are in a cult.

I have seen a friend literally lose his shi, and start frothing at the mouth during a conversation about boxing, when  someone mentioned that trump put on fights in the 80's & 90's. The acronym that can't be written is a mental condition and should be recognised as one,

All the people that hate Trump seem to know everything about him .

They report daily and what he said that day, what he did, where he went , who he played golf with  .

Its like they follow him around , watching and observing and all they seem to do it to talk about him, as we are doing again now

I cant think of a better qoute from an American when I thinking of Trump, and what we have learned so far about Trump, and his followers.

This. Ready for the flack I will receive as well.

Nobody can defend their govts for their involvements of Gulf war, Afghanistan, conflicts in Africa, middle east, an endless list of atrocities.

NATO & UN, beyond embarrassing organization.  True terrorist.

What's also puzzling, in a thread where the only invited responses are supposed to be from people justifying their dislike of the man, is the rush of unpaid fans and supporters rushing to his defence, in much the same way as a Pavlovian dog, though without the endearing drool.

Of course, someone could start a similar thread about Harris/Biden/Obama etc and get a similar series of responses.

Not surprised Trump won at all.  Just wish he didn't :cheesy:

Harris as president, that was never going happen.  Her word salads were classic.  She truly only had 2 things going for her; being female & mixed race, and only appealed to the most ignorant person.  As soon as she started campaigning, she was done.

Why they kept Biden in his basement, instead of him on campaign trail  :cheesy:
