Community German National Rescued After Reportedly Being Left Homeless in Jomtien

A German national was rescued in Jomtien, over the weekend, after being found in a distressed and vulnerable state, having reportedly been evicted from his home by his Thai wife without explanation and living at the beach.

 

The incident came to light during a routine patrol by the Jomtien District Inspection Team, operating under the Policy and Planning Division of the Pattaya Municipality Office. 

 

The patrols are carried out in accordance with the directive of Pattaya Mayor, Mr Poramet Ngampichet, who has reiterated his commitment to safeguarding the well-being of all tourists and residents in the city.

 

Municipal officers responded promptly to the presence of a foreign man in visible distress. Officers arrived at the scene and coordinated with Pol. Col. Anek Sratongyu, Superintendent of Pattaya City Police Station, as well as other local law enforcement personnel.

 

They found the German national, whose name was withheld, distressed and without shelter. Preliminary questioning revealed that he had been abruptly evicted from his home by his Thai wife, leaving him with nowhere to go and no means of support.

 

Authorities acted swiftly to provide immediate assistance. Municipal officers, in collaboration with city police, ensured the tourist was taken to a safe location. The case was subsequently referred to the Tourist Police and the Immigration Bureau to provide further support and to guarantee his safety and welfare moving forward.

 

In a statement, Pattaya City expressed its gratitude to all agencies involved for their cooperation and swift action, which underscores the city’s dedication to being a safe and welcoming destination for both tourists and expatriates.

Plenty of hotels in town.

1. remove credit card from wallet, check into hotel 

 

2. go to ATM, withdraw cash, check into hotel

I get the impression the poor guy maybe has dementia issues. Seems sad... not everyone has credit cards or ATM cards... a domineering wife could be behind this too.

So there is a explanation, the is a penny less, deadbeat.

Yes, if he bought it it's his to live in until he dies, unless she chipped in somehow, where it's both of theirs, she can't kick him out, and there has to be a court settlement after selling. If he's on the streets, she might have his belongings, cash, credit cards etc, and he might have some mental issues that make it hard for him to help himself. If he moved into her house then he'll need to get possession of his money, in a bank of course, then find a place to stay until the divorce is final and things are settled, where he can then decide where he wants to live, hopefully in a better place.

What's more likely is that he's paid for everything and she's the problem, as most of us living here has seen over the years. Greed has many women becoming greedier, not appreciating the better life they are given and only the need for more gold , cash and cars to brag to her "friends". Normal women appreciate when a man takes care of them, but those with mental issues are wired to believe they always deserve more. Of course, he could be part of the problem, maybe a drunk or abuser, but obviously being a foreigner living here, he has enough money to stay.

Don't worry immigration will provide him with a home at the IDC, until someone can be found to buy him a ticket to Germany. Kind immigration officers will even escort him to his flight to make sure he doesn't get lost on the way.

I'm living in the house until we leave. No one will kick me out of my house, and karma comes around when a woman does things to an innocent man. I'm not near the only one who has picked a disturbed woman here and paid a price, along with being threatened with knives, as I hear it a lot. As far as greed, eventually the ones who only look at men for their money will also pay a price when he leaves or dies, as they'll only have their middle aged self who no locals want, along with any children still in the house. But yes, they'll have that gold. Some here are ticking time bombs and their men haven't a clue until it happens.

If he's been living here legally, he has his money to fall back on, so now he's likely in a much better place, especially is she's the problem. And if she is, and she had a good free rid, now karma will take over and she'll be left with what she had before, which is likely nothing but that house.We don't know their ages, but if shes in her middle ages, she might have kicked out her ATM.

What does that mean exactly? How can you see who has the money in this story? As a farang, it's a lot more likely that he's the breadwinner. There is a slight chance that she has money, the house, a job, etc, and he's living on his pension, but more likely it's the other way around. And if he has that pension or retirement, he's also more likely to have more than she does.

He has more time than that, especially because a divorce takes time. After the divorce, he can switch to either a dependent visa, if there are children, or a retirement if he's old enough.

Nope, the 'defacto' rule is broken the moment she indicates you are no longer welcome.

Which is why you need wife at immigration for extensions, they ask her if she still wants you around.

No, the older a woman gets here, the less likely a local will want her, especially if she has kids. Except of course to just use and toss aside.
