However, as we've seen before people are likely to panic

indeed they are, a fact not wasted on certain factions. the media for starters, and any others that seek to profit. It will always be this way

Out to dinner with some of the wife's family last night  .. ( NEVER AGAIN )

her sister in law took the spoon out of her mouth and scooped up more food from the serving dish ( repeatedly )   Same jerk wad that wears a mask while driving in the car

I pushed my plate away and stopped eating at that point..    and they want to know why diseases spread to easily ....

I tested positive for Covid on Friday and had a very miserable few days with a constant headache, fever, muscle aches and all the other typical symptoms.

I'm now starting to feel better but I can only talk for about an hour before my throat starts hurting.

I was on a 3 hour call earlier and by the end I could barely speak.  My throat is very sore right now.

I know a few people who've either got it or know someone who has.

I've quarantined myself since I started feeling sick on Thursday evening.  Any virus that's in me isn't getting a chance to spread to anyone else, which is what we should all do.

If everyone who got sick just stayed away from other people until they were recovered, then the virus wouldn't be able to spread.  But I expect a lot of you are too selfish to think about other people.

And for the record I had 3 shots and have had Covid once before.

Hope you recover quickly.

Not if you wear your mask take your shots and live in a hermetically sealed bubble 😋

If you live in a bubble you don't need mask or shots.

Oxygen, water, and food become over-riding interests quickly though. Not to mention waste removal.

Yes. The Thai style of communal digging in at dinner did add to the transmission problem here.

Thank you. Day 6 and I'm feeling significantly better.
I've still got a throat infection but that'll be gone soon I'm sure.

Shots are useless. I've got four (66 y/o)..And caught the F.virus three times, however, alive and kicking.

This is all to get that fear reaction out of the Thais and it wouldn’t surprise me with the dropping tourist numbers and economy tanking that they may use this as another excuse.

The vaccine is out of date and doctors are saying it does not work, now controversial amongst world experts with new evidence coming forward daily the FDA and politicians are under pressure to stop the vaccine, there are many articles from reliable sources there is a lot going down about covid damage from the vaccine at present.

In NZ Doctors speaking out against science lead the charge with huge support from ex media journalists and huge petitions to parliament, they do pod casts and have their own radio station.

Wife had it first and now we are both sick with COVID-19, I'm currently hiding under my quilt sweating it out while my bones, muscles, joints are all in pain and kept me tossing and turning all night. She is on the tail end if it, I just got it last night. This is the second time for both of us, our daughter escaped catching it the first time, and also seems to be fine now, at least so far.

Yes... the plots keep coming, don't they ?   And like some deep dark phlegm thickening in our throats ....... they should be expelled with great force back at the pharma boys.

What is your take on top virologist Dr. Robert Redfield, who served as the director of the CDC during the Covid crisis, who claims that reports of so-called "Long Covid" are actually a cover-up for mRNA vaccine injury?

Since leaving his federal government position at the end of President Donald Trump’s first term in January 2021, Redfield has focused on treating patients in his medical practice.

He explains in the interview that his surgery is flooded with patients who have been led to believe they have “Lond Covid.”

However, he notes that the vast majority of those patients are actually suffering from an injury caused by the Covid mRNA “vaccine” they received.

Can you point me to the interview where he says this? I can't find it. The one minute sound clip in the SLAY article says something different including "... not saying the mRNA vaccines are not safe, lets just have an objective review... ".

BTW, I like Redford a lot. His objectivity is well beyond many of our posters here...

Just last week they are claiming 8000 sick with Covid, Now they are saying last week had 8 deaths. Why it was not reported then?

I am not saying the stories are lies. It just seems to be in the news more at the same time as other things are happening that would make a problem in Bangkok like protest rallies. We all saw how Covid was used previously to deter gatherings such as this. It is possible that it may be beginning now for the same reasons.

Although we're in the rainy season, rain is supposed to clean the environment, in fact humidity favors the transmission of viruses and can worsen the condition of those with respiratory problems… We are in trouble… Again.🤔

Thailand's respiratory season, including influenza,  aligns with the rainy season also because Thai are predominantly outdoors people but spend more time indoors when it rains.

Not sure they fully understand though. Yesterday my wife and I walked 20 meters to a convenience store in a very light drizzle (you could count the drops on one hand) but she insisted we go back up 20 floors to get an umbrella. Asked why she said she might get a cold.

Thais are predominantly indoor people. Exceptions being rural farmers of course.

I think there is a bit of "truth" in the it rains so we get a cold  but only because at the start of a rain storm there will often be a big wind that stirs up all the dust laying around which goes into eyes, nose and mouth.

I like to joke with the Thais that I can't go out in the rain because I'll melt  but daily shower is no plomplem.

COVID may be emdemic, and not as strong now, but it is still killing people.

I am in my 70s so will be masking up again when I am in public. I had a few relatives and friends die from it.

I caught COVID myself and it took 10 days to get over it, worst flu and cold I ever had.

i do not take COVID lightly.

That' like what my wife said!  When it starts to rain, pollution like PM 2.5 is washed out of the air along with viruses that may be present, she said. Studies in China have shone heavily polluted air can carry respiratory viruses.

The other part is that getting  cold and wet in the wind and rain can weaken your immune system. Particularly if it chills your nasal passage. Colds like, well, cold! They replicate better at 33C than 37C.  No wonder they call it a cold.

You qualify for the Impossible Question. Nobody has answered it yet, have a shot (pun intended):

You know a lot more than the majority of highly intelligent doctors that specialize in mRNA research and medicine.  Some even treat and study infectious diseases in highly competitive fields.
I assume your research took years of study, effort and brains. You are a perfect candidate for the conspiracy theories of the great MAGA movement. Why would I ever trust highly educated professionals when I can simply read a few conspiracy articles? I bet you were admitted to medical school but decided it was a waste of time. The majority of these experts are no match for you. 👏👏👏

And also to ask how many died from/with the regular flu in that time.  Funny that they don't mention that...

It's down to what's newsworthy. If someone well known died of Covid it would be in the news, if it was me, then probably not. Covid has attention but flu doesn't,  unless the numbers are really high.

This is borne out by the fact that all the posts I've read so far mention the number of deaths but ignore the part of the headline that says cases are surging. The number of cases or deaths is less important than the change in numbers. If cases are increasing substantially, then the reasons need to be determined. It could be that Covid isn't seen as important now and vaccination rates have fallen.  I've not heard of any large increase in the UK.

Here you go, full interview below. He says several things the "conspiracy theorists" have been saying for years (and quite a few people on this forum won't want to hear them), such as:

- Covid was lab-engineered

- Fauci was involved in the engineering

- The mRNA vaccines contain cancer-causing ingredients such as SV40 and nucleic acids

The exact quote on Long Covid is:

"I… you know, one of the problems… and I'm controversial on this. People in the industry don't like me for what I'm about to say. My son is probably telling me not to say it right now in my ear. But, I don't think the vaccine industry should have immunity.

I think they should have responsibility, like any other manufacturer of any other product for their product. And I'm particularly concerned about this now because, you know, my clinical practice right now, which I'm still in two half days a week, is largely COVID and long COVID. But among my, quote, long COVID patients are people that don't have long COVID, but they have mRNA vaccine injury.

And, it's, you know, there's not a clear path for them to have their injury recognized and compensated, and I think that's wrong. I think, hopefully, Kennedy will have a critical review, not saying that the mRNA vaccines aren't safe, not saying they shouldn't…

Let's just have an objective review by the FDA. Marty… Marty, you gotta review these products. Let's see the safety data. Don't tell me you're holding it off till 2026. No. I want the safety data out there."

Yep, watched again, and again he did not say what you initially quoted from the SLAY article. I,e.,

"He explains in the interview that his surgery is flooded with patients who have been led to believe they have “Lond Covid.”

However, he notes that the vast majority of those patients are actually suffering from an injury caused by the Covid mRNA"

So if you come across where he says that let me know. You may think changing facts a little is OK. In real science it's a cardinal sin. As I said, I agree with everything Redfield did say. Also that it came from a lab, I've known since Jan 16, 2020.

The wording is perfectible indeed. It does not change the substance of what Redfield said, though:

- The "Long Covid" (he puts the terms inside quotation marks, as I have been doing for years) diagnosis has been used to mask vaccine injury

- Fauci was involved in gain of function research

- The vaccines contain cancer-causing ingredients

- The safety data has been withheld

He had previously stated during a Senate hearing that he does not administer the mRNA shots in his own practice because the spike protein they contain is “toxic to the body” and "the mRNA was persisting much longer than it should" in some patients. He confirmed the lipid nanoparticles cross the blood-brain barrier and that the jab doesn't prevent infection and has side effects which were hidden by the authorities.

https://rumble.com/v56ws2r-sen.-ron-johnson-with-cdc-former-cdc-director-dr.-robert-redfield.html

It's good that you agree with him, I do too. Lots here would be well advised to follow that example.
