Need more details.  What are you is your friend intending to bring?

Possibly something made from silicone or TPE. I didn't ask for details.

You seem to have knowledge about gay men and dildos. Please post photos for us that don't have any of your knowledge, Nancy.

No issues at all...coming into Thailand 1 million times+ never had an issue with luggage searches in checked-in stuff...with carry-on it was all menacingly looking personal audio gear  dac/amps that looked like a dodgy 'device' going in the cabin...

Have you seen a Chord Hugo 2 ?

All it needs is a countdown LCD on the front...haha.

Why bother importing one. There's plenty of 'personal toys' available here, even on Lazada.

Post a link to your preferred seller of 'personal toys' on Lazada and I'll pass it on.

True story, once the missus and I went crazy shopping at a sex shop in Vienna. Her whole suitcase was full with sex toys, whips, handcuffs and other paraphernalia. The Viennese lady at the x-ray had a good laugh and waved us through knowingly.

Of course this flight was Vienna to London. If you do that in Thailand you'd probably go to jail now.

This is a straightforward inquiry regarding the potential legal or criminal risks of bringing a single personal item of a sexual nature, such as a sex toy, into Thailand in checked luggage.

Thai law appears to classify such items as “obscene objects,” which are technically prohibited from being imported, possessed, or sold. Penalties for violations may include up to three years of imprisonment, a fine of up to 60,000 baht, or both. However, it is unclear how strictly this law is applied in practice, particularly in cases involving discreet transport of a single item for personal use.

That said, I’m looking for informed responses from anyone with firsthand experience or credible knowledge of how strictly this law is enforced in practice, particularly when it comes to discreetly traveling with a single item intended for private, personal use.

This is a genuine legal question submitted on behalf of a friend who would like to understand the real-world enforcement risks in order to avoid any unintentional violations while traveling.

You can buy toys at lazada, but bringing in is little or no risk at all. Worst case confiscated.

Maybe buy online from Aliexpress once you are here. Pretty sure I have seen them on there.

If you do want to take the risk of bringing one in, I would suggest you remove the batteries first.

1. it will show up less on any X-ray.

2. You wouldn't want it accidentally turning on and creating a suspicious buzzing noise from your luggage.

Maybe he is sentimentally attached to it..., or the other way around.

He can buy dildos at any Grocery Store or Market.

If vibration is needed, go ride the BTS or Red bus.

If you really want to impress, buy a ticket for the doll.
