It's a US$10 bottle. Not sure why someone is getting triggered when I actually supported them in their assertion that they weren't 'showing off'.

Perhaps I was wrong and they really were trying to show off with a US$10 Bordeaux Blend.

Slim, graceful Thai women are the top of my list.

Cost of rent one-quarter that of Australia.

Traditional Thai massage.

Thai caddies.

Pad thai goong, pad siew and mussuman curry

My scooter

It always rains in the afternoon. I can hit off at the crack of dawn, and enjoy my golf in cool conditions.

Swimming in the condo pool

Internet faster and cheaper than in Australia.

Haha, your post seems like wrong topic. You are looking for the Oz vs Thailand topic.

However the reason I'm posting this is the question: where this photo is taken from? nice pow 👍

What the hell you talking about ?

Chatrium Riverside ... 60m², and I've stayed there and a very nice stay.

Centerpoint (link) ... 45m²

Saphan Taksin BTS is <1.5 kms away, actually walkable if not lazy, or too hot or raining out.

Bus, tuk tuk, meter taxis plow the road out front.  Have their own boat shuttle to the pier (Sapan Taksin) for river taxi or BTS.

Always the online taxis via apps.

This is corner one bedroom suite twin rooms 70m2. Which have nice balcony. We got upgraded from Grand deluxe river view which is 60m2 @KhunLA

Hotel have ok functional gym and large swimmingpool. Not so worried not being in the center of Silom.

Still curious where you get a decent table wine in Thailand for 10usd

I already posted the link to the Bordeaux Blend, showing that it cost US$10/10€. Scroll back to find it.

Centrepoint Silom 1 bed varies from 90 sq.m. to 100 sq.m. with a wraparound balcony overlooking the Chao Phraya.

2 bedroom, 188 sq.m. I like it spacious.

Not about being in the middle of Silom, but the transport links and convenience. You have direct access to Robinsons and TOPS supermarket. Almost direct access to the BTS and River Taxis.

Chatrium is relatively out of the way, with smaller accommodation and less convenient, to me. Doesn't mean it's bad, only my reasons for rejecting it.

I have spent time here since early 2000, and the more I stay, the more western food and western facilities I use.

Back in the "old" days, lived months in bamboo bungalows with electric 7-10, bucket showers and Thai food only.

Is this Thai enough for you? My (wife) back yard. 5 neighbours in 500m range.

Your reply to my post is for 10 days only after returning from Europe. Somehow triggers some to give negative remarks and posts even I wrote 10 days, before returning to Isan on a local bus.

Chartrium also has larger rooms, up to 120 m², if wanting.  I actually prefer the riverside location, and why we stay on the other side, at Ibis, since pet friendly.  Can walk to ICONSIAM, which has everything anyone would need.

Unless play tourist, no need to leave the area.

Beer daily, weed every 3 nights like clockwork

Neither

Wide range of food nationalities, mix of healthy and unhealthy

Fruit from fresh markets, mostly supermarkets

City life

No massages (Thai massage is for masochists)

Delivery from restaurants dominant, restaurants. and home cooking

Pattaya baht buses, bolt taxis, walking

Stayed at Hilton, and absolutely the best location riverside when the hot season is killing it. Negative is the small pool and gym. Rooms great view and more silent than Chatrium Riverside. Anyway the noise stops at 11 most days

Again, Centrepoint Silom is riverside, has better transport links, better facilities and more spacious rooms. 188sq.m. 2 bed. But the 90-100 sq.m. is enough for two.

Strongly disagree. It's on the wrong side, not easy to get to, smaller accommodations....

I've stayed in everything, from the Mandarin Oriental to Centrepoint Silom around there. I still choose Centrepoint Silom for my convenience. What makes it "absolutely the best", in your opinion?

NO ... near the river, but not riverside.

I'm starting to wonder, if you've ever been to either, Centerpoint or Chatrium.

I haven't been to Chatrium, as it has poor transport links, smaller angular accommodations....

This is one of the apartments I use a Centrepoint Silom: https://www.google.com/travel/hotels/entity/CgsI-eya1qe646PpARAB/lightbox/CAISFjN4UDJlZkJTVGVqemVkQzY1WjUyelE

Wraparound balcony, as opposed to an air conditioned cooled sweat box.

If I missed the point, then perhaps everyone else did 😊 Perhaps work on your method of delivery.  I see small 34 - 40sq.m. rooms with no balcony and on the wrong side of the river. What do you see?

The name is Millennium Hilton, in case you didn't know.

Perhaps you again missed that I actually asked you what made it the best. Twice now. You managed to avoid answering that question whilst managing to reply anyway 😊

Always the online taxis via apps.

You are comparing a One Bedroom apartment with the smallest room option at Centrepoint Silom? Why would you do that?

One Bedroom compared with One Bedroom. 60 sq.m vs 90 sq.m.

An eighteen minute walk is a lot when it's hot and humid outside. Two minutes is far more convenient. Similarly to Sathorn Pier(not Sapan Taksin as you named it. I'm beginning to wonder if you've ever actually been there). All right on the doorstep. No need for eighteen minute walks or getting stuck in traffic in taxis and Tuk-tuks.

If I wanted to faff around out there, then I would have considered the Chatrium. I didn't. I'm sure it's not bad. But I wasn't sold on it.
