In a startling incident that has sent shockwaves through Uthai Thani province in Thailand, a mathematics teacher has been dismissed from his position after he was found posing nude at a school while wearing only a Batman mask. This bizarre behaviour, captured in a series of inappropriate videos, prompted swift action from the Education Ministry and has become a focal point for discussions on professional conduct within educational spaces.

 

The unnamed teacher, known for his role at a well-regarded local school, first came under scrutiny when video clips emerged, showing him doffing his khaki uniform in a classroom, leaving only a Batman mask to cover his identity. The disturbing footage didn't stop there; it depicted him with a chain around his neck and a provocative object attached to his genitals, prancing around in the school corridor and on a roadside pavement while mimicking a dog urinating.

 

These unsettling visuals understandably caused distress among students, with many reportedly alarmed by the scenes. The Teacher Civil Service and Educational Personnel Commission responded by launching a formal investigation, which spanned two months. Their thorough examination concluded that such conduct was utterly incompatible with the standards expected of educators and posed a significant psychological threat to the students' wellbeing.

 

In an official statement, Siripong Angkhasakulkiat, spokesperson for the Education Ministry, relayed that the decision to expel the teacher was unanimous, highlighting that maintaining a secure and respectful environment for students is paramount. "The actions significantly frightened the students," he said, noting the commission’s resolve in preserving trust in educational institutions.

 

Interestingly, this incident has also spotlighted the commendable actions of two fellow teachers who promptly reported the misconduct. Recognising their contribution in protecting the students, the Office of the Basic Education Commission announced salary increases for the two educators, underscoring their dedication to maintaining a safe educational environment.

 

While the community grapples with the fallout from this event, this case serves as a stark reminder of the boundaries that must be upheld by those responsible for shaping young minds. The swift handling of the incident reflects a commitment to upholding the ethical standards expected in teaching, reinforcing the importance of safety and decorum within schools. I would get crazy too with a lot of workload on 6 days or even some 7 days workweeks, for a salary of 8/9k a month... And all the rest is because there is no working department of Education.. Nobody can get back up or help or anything from them.. and the schools with the overpaid directors can do as they want as we have this week that even in storm the daily rituals have to be done

You refer to foreign teachers... In my province in Govern schools they pay foreign teachers 25-30k a month but Thai teachers:

I know from my school they a big salary if they have 15k a month... Most are between 8/9 and 11k a month...

B) This is not a new story; it dates back to at least February.  But I guess the authorities are just now getting around to what to do about it.  Either that or it's a slow news days, so they republished this story for clicks.

It took two months! Anything above two minutes is too long.

 

And where are the BIB? Exposing himself to school children must break some law or other.

I think the nudity was why got fired not the Batman mask.
