Hello

I am a regular customer of Amazon.com ( usa ), so far I received my item directly at my home, nothing to pay because I paid taxes when I bought the item

today, i am told that my item is at Thai customs , my carrier is UPS and ups asks me 1400 bahts ( I have paid already import charges )

is it normal, has Amazon changed their methods and now works with UPS, Fedex etc ? or somebody made a mistake and sent the item to the wrong  place ?

thank you

You shouldn't be paying anything extra even with tariffs. If amazon "forgot" to include tariffs in their prepaid import fees then open a chat with customer service and they will sort it out. You should be paying zero, no matter what ups or Thai customs say.

What are your import fees on the invoice?

Also, what does the tracking say?

Check the tracking and original order, I have never been required to pay any tax on an Amazon US import which was shipped from Amazon Export Services or whatever they call it.

If you order through some reseller and for whatever reason the order is fulfilled by some third party company then you're going to be hit with the tax on import and that can be a real pain.

Make sure it is a proper Amazon Export order because if it is then the tax is indeed prepaid every time and you should have proof of that and make sure it's not some scam

Yes, I have everything from Amazon, I am a regular customer and I don't understand why it's in Thai customs

I chat with somebody in Amazon and he told me it was a mistake  , but the item is still in thai customs

I have paid USD 48.87 import charges  and total is 202 € , I have the invoice

the tracking says that the courier is UPS ; again, what UPS has to do here ? Normally it's a normal Thai courier in motobike or car who gives me the item, never UPS and I pay nothing
