Well thanks for the video, you've certainly given us another reason not to consider the Philippines, not that I have ever seriously thought of it as an alternative.

I've been there a few times and my thoughts are that the entire country is like one big Tijuana. It is depressing. Very little landscaping in the homes, even nice homes are ugly, and have barbed wire, and glass topped walls everywhere you look.

Any country that has judicial system that does not require some burden of proof on the part of the accuser, is working with a completely broken judicial system, one that I would not want to be subject to.

One big Tijuana. From what I've heard about the place, that's probably correct.

Nice name. Not Thai then?

My wife's name is Joy. Born in Chiang Mai. Her sister's name is Jazz and her brother (diseased is Jo). Her dad was born in 1942 and likes Jazz apparently. Very old and frail now but still around, just had lunch with him last week.

Those are their real names? They don't have Thai names?

yes of course, these are just nicknames. Not sure about the siblings but her real name is Jullada. The other aforementioned Joy is most certainly a nickname too.

It's a very common female Thai name: จอย

As already posted, they are nicknames. So, it´s a common nickname.

I don't watch YouTube

I especially don't watch these types of opinion videos.

There is no debate, it's Thailand by a country mile. That's why total loser foreign men will bring Filipino women here to live in Thailand!! (???). That's why thousands of Filipino teachers live here, raise their kids here and have them learn Thai.

I see many comments posting about names. One of the most irritating things I find about the Philippines are the way that names are spelled. Like black people in US they always have to twist the name around to something *creative* ... It just looks ignorant. No one and I mean no one's name is spelled correctly.

IMO there are only four things better about Philippines .

1. English/ convenience

2. Cheap booze (also = trouble)

3. Proximity to US (less travel time)

3. Young birds (most age rapidly and finished before 25). Diet and nutrition horrendous.

If you want to Filipino woman bring her back to your home country or go live in the Philippines.

The video guy made a few VERY good points :

1.  Maybe better stay single   ( easy to say... but lust is blind)  .  Ya gotta live together until you really know if there's any dangers ) .

2.  If things are bad ...... move FAR away  ( and i add..... quickly and quietly.  If the guy was dumb enough to invest a lot ,  well....life lesson

3.As a third party,  DON"T get involved .

Obviously the guy was stupid and did not take obvious signs seriously.

Continuously mood swings is serious and why stay? It doesn’t just happens over the night.

Simple solution for future mistakes like this, know your lady before you investing emotions

and financially. Giving constructive feedback about where the line is, and leave in time.

I met a Norwegian in Cebu who was all over his head in love with a to young lady, who had seriously mood swings and was later diognosed bipolar after she hit him in the head with a hammer while he was sleeping.

still he didn’t leave her. Anyway they both become alcoholic living together and he passed away from diabetes finely.

No matter what some men read or hear, or advises given, they are still doomed to disaster,

Anyway, for all we know they both were suitable and both abused each other and made excuses for themselves. For a poor lady, who do not have much options in life being a prostitute on the open marked or in a relationship could worsen certain mental issues.

who to Blaim?

I Heard personally about several cases of people being falsely charged in Philippines but never in Thailand. But who knows what’s true or not. Could be pedofiles travel in more numbers to Philippines than Thailand, or police is do take these allegations more seriously than Thai police.

I know for sure, Thai do not trust police, and will not have anything to do with them if it’s not possible to avoid. Also loss of face is a much bigger concern in Thailand.

Exactly, I lasted about 3 minutes.

It was like the Odyssey with less action.
