Why isnt Trumps approval rating 80%?

This is from the much maligned (on here) 23 Nobel Prize-winning economists pre-election letter:

(Trump's) policies, including high tariffs even on goods from our friends and allies and regressive tax cuts for corporations and individuals, will lead to higher prices, larger deficits, and greater inequality.

Among the most important determinants of economic success are the rule of law and
economic and political certainty, and Trump threatens all of these.

Serious question. The guy inherits the country from the worst US president in history who intentionally sabotaged americans. Trump fulfills his campaign promises in the first three months. Closed the border, easy job. Getting the illegals out that are already in, not easy but clear its happening because the pressure is mounting on them to commit crimes before theyre deported. Inflation down, eggs not insane prices anymore. Does anyone here think they could do a better job? Is anyone in the world a better fit for the position? Seems everyone here would rather the US turn into the UK

There is a very simple answer to your question that even you will be able to understand. In so called democratic elections, the peoples voice determine a persons approval rating. As we clearly can see, the general population does not share your values, because they see the whole picture. That´s the simple answer to you question, and at the same time answer to why the approval rating is where it is....

As it should be because part of Trump's campaign promises was to "stop the Ukraine/Russian war in 24 hours"......and he has failed miserably on that count.

Then of course he was going to stop the Israel/Gaza "war", and again he has failed miserably on this.

He has also alienated other trading partners by his "tariff war", even placing a tariff on an uninhabited island which is full of penguins – – just how dumb can he be (don't answer that as it's embarrassing).

It would seem that his mouth is not connected to his small brain in any way whatsoever, so it's only to be expected that he spouts absolute rubbish and nonsense

This world is so full of delusion, manufacturing is not coming back to America anytime soon, and Trump is going to do the exact opposite of making America great again, he's diminishing America by the day.

Spell it out hater blue boy....lets see it. Did Trump become a raging retarded imbecile like Biden too? Only 1328 days of total pain, anguish and butt-hurt happiness for all you haters & losers. Then its time for the JD Vance show for 4 more years....lol

In the meantime.....how ya doin...

There is no doubt that he is using the presidency to enrich himself. He did it before and he'll do it again. Dodgy coins anyone? There's what you see on the surface and then there is what you don't see quite so easily. The private deals. Donations in kind. Kickbacks.

Even if it were right in front of your face, you would gloss over it, such is your blind hatred.

Easy answer. Mr. Trump is taking a wrecking ball to the pillars of American power and innovation. His tariffs are endangering U.S. companies’ access to global markets and supply chains. He is slashing public research funding and gutting our universities, pushing talented researchers to consider leaving for other countries. He wants to roll back programs for technologies like clean energy and semiconductor manufacturing and is wiping out American soft power in large swaths of the globe.

Sheltered behind tariff walls, American companies will sell almost exclusively to domestic consumers. The loss of international sales will degrade corporate earnings, leaving companies with less money to invest in their businesses. American consumers will be stuck with U.S.-made goods that are of middling quality but more expensive than global products, owing to higher U.S. manufacturing costs. Working families will face rising inflation and stagnant incomes. Traditional high-value industries such as car manufacturing and pharmaceuticals are already being lost to China; the important industries of the future will follow. Imagine Detroit or Cleveland on a national scale.

You’re not telling the truth, again.  Your nose is looking like Pinocchio.

Nice try.

No salary taken.

He’s losing net worth by being President.

Biden became richer as most career politicians do in office.

Much worse. Open your eyes. Stop blindly following without intelligence. Seek and you will find. Or you can just pretend that he wouldn't ever do anything that is dodgy.
