Social Media Posted yesterday at 09:03 PM Posted yesterday at 09:03 PM Biden-Appointed Judge Halts Deportation of Terror Suspect's Family Amid Legal Battle The wife and five children of Colorado terror suspect Mohamed Sabry Soliman have been granted a temporary reprieve from deportation after a federal judge appointed by Former President Joe Biden intervened in their case. The decision came just as the family, who had been detained by immigration authorities, faced swift removal from the United States. U.S. District Court Judge Gordon Gallagher issued an emergency order on Wednesday, halting the deportation process for Soliman’s wife, 41-year-old Hayam Salah Alsaid Ahmed Elgamal, and their five children — including 18-year-old daughter Habiba Mohamed Sabry Farag Soliman, two additional daughters, and two sons. The family had been detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Tuesday. In his ruling, Gallagher stated, “Defendants SHALL NOT REMOVE Hayem El Gamal and her five children from … the United States unless and until this Court or Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit vacates this Order.” He emphasized that deporting the family without due process could result in "irreparable harm," adding that the emergency nature of the situation warranted action without notice. The Soliman family originally arrived in the United States from Kuwait in August 2022. According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), they were permitted to stay only until February 2023. Soliman, a 45-year-old Egyptian national, filed for asylum a month after entering the country and listed his wife and children as dependents in Denver. He was granted a temporary work permit in March 2023, which expired this past March, and his asylum request remains unresolved. Homeland Security officials detained the family as federal prosecutors pursue a major criminal case against Soliman. He has been charged with committing a hate crime and faces 16 counts of attempted first-degree murder. Authorities allege he attacked participants in a peaceful march advocating for the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza. Twelve individuals were injured in what investigators described as an antisemitic assault. Witnesses reported that a shirtless Soliman shouted “Free Palestine” before allegedly carrying out the attack. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem announced that investigators would examine whether Soliman’s family members had any knowledge of his alleged plan. Prosecutors claim Soliman had been plotting the attack for over a year and had waited until his eldest daughter completed high school before acting. Judge Gallagher’s ruling has temporarily paused the deportation proceedings, but a hearing to determine the future of the family’s immigration status is scheduled for June 13. Gallagher, who was confirmed by the U.S. Senate in a 53-43 vote in March 2023, will oversee further deliberations in the case. If convicted on all charges, Soliman could spend the remainder of his life behind bars. As the legal battles continue, the fate of his wife and children remains uncertain, pending the court's final decision. Adapted by ASEAN Now from NYP 2025-06-06 1 1 2 1

My wife can't understand why we had to go to so much trouble to arrange initial visas, then residency, when she hears about the carry on that goes on the "silly" countries. Overstaying visa stays is illegal. Why do so many people not understand that illegal immigration is ILLEGAL and therefore perpetrators, once located are required to go home. Except in Luvvie Land apparently, but no-one can tell me where it is. And why are people, who do understand, often portrayed in much of the media as being Far Right, or even right wing at all? Maybe cos they don't believe in Luvvie Land. 1 1 1 1

Magictoad Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago It's difficult to imagine/ comprehend that an Arab family including a wife and daughter would not have FULL KNOWLEDGE of the father's the perpetrator's plans regarding attacking the Jews. He would have been bubbling with excitement.
TallGuyJohninBKK Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago What a bunch of nonsense posts above... There's ZERO actual proof in the OP report that the suspect's family was in any way complicit in his alleged crime, and indeed, the OP report says "DHS Secretary Kristi Noem announced that investigators would examine whether Soliman’s family members had any knowledge of his alleged plan." [emphasis added] Fine, If Noem's investigators can provide sufficient proof in court that the suspect's family were somehow involved, then by all means, those actually proven involved should suffer the consequences... But until then, the judge was entirely correct in telling the Trump Admin. that they're WRONG to try to deport people first and conduct their investigations / surface any evidence after the fact when they've already been shipped off to some foreign country in the absence of any proven wrongdoing. That's the stuff of tyrants and dictators... not a functioning democracy. 1 1
TallGuyJohninBKK Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Judge issues order halting deportation of Colorado antisemitic attack suspect’s family Updated Jun 5, 2025 ... "The suspect’s wife was surprised when she learned her husband had been arrested, her lawyers said in the documents, according to the Post. She said that she and their five children should not suffer the consequences of Soliman’s arrest. “Punishing individuals — including children as young as four-years-old — for the purported actions of their relatives is a feature of medieval justice systems or police state dictatorships, not democracies,” family attorney Eric Lee said in a Wednesday statement to CNN. [emphasis added] “The detention and attempted removal of this family is an assault on core democratic principles and must provoke widespread opposition in the population, immigrant and non-immigrant alike.” Soliman’s family members have not been charged in the attack." [emphasis added] ... Soliman told detectives after he was arrested that “no one” knew about his attack plans and that “he never talked to his wife or family about it,” according to the affidavit for his arrest filed Sunday. https://www.cnn.com/2025/06/04/us/boulder-colorado-terror-attack
