Quentin Zen Posted Saturday at 07:22 AM Posted Saturday at 07:22 AM I do think we need to change the emotes. The downvote little red thing isn't that good, but it's absolutely everyone's favorite!!!!!!!. Something more provocative. I think there should be like 1,000 negative emotes to appease the elderly here who love being negative. I get way more enjoyment when two elderly expats bicker online for all eternity, and I think some better emotes might help with their dopamine levels. When I was 10 I told my mom I want to retire in Thailand and spam downvotes on everything like a happy old man!!! Or bitter, maybe that's it. Anyhow, the members love the negativity, so better emotes seem like a good step in keep retention. Bring the downvotes!!!! Note: I posted something on Sigma and haven't read one response. I don't care, creating these posts are fun for me. I am disappointed with the red thumb down......we should do better. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT3rdyIe7pOoNVARAiIchjgJk3Ihhbr68sg4Q&s 2 1 2 30 1 1

hotsun Posted Saturday at 07:32 AM Posted Saturday at 07:32 AM On some social media getting thumbs down actually hides your post. Here it does nothing. i dont even notice the thumbs down i get. as if the emojis are going to shame me from posting what im thinking. Not a chance 1 6 2

I know because they are downvoting posts of mine that either state facts that are unpalatable to them, or are non-controversial. When I state an indisputable fact such as military personnel on Hawaii have a far lower incidence of dental caries than the general population, it's guaranteed to get one or more downvotes from the anti-fluoride cranks. Oh look, they're lining up. 3 1 4

We know for fact there is quite a few mental cases out of the expats here in Thailand. More than on average from what Im used to, and I come from an quite extreme environment in extreme sport, where more than 23% of all athletes I meet personally, is dead by now, and thats not by age. Cowardly and spineless no matter reason Just to give a number as reference 300 athletes I maybe met irl, 69 is now dead in 37 years. Then I didnt count other activities, climbing, skydiving, offpist, motor racing or suicides outside sport. Close to mor more than 100, not sure 1

I must have died from extreme sports in a previous life because I won't go anywhere near anything considered remotely extreme.

Your heritaged dna might have memories of critical experiences, yes while I was attracted and drawn in to it even it made me pissing scared and wanted to puke sometimes, but once on no point of return experienced an incredibly feeling of self control and on top of every problem I had. 1
