If Trump be on the right side of the law by getting authorisation from state governor to deploy the military, the Democrats will not be angry.

Alabama rioted for months before LBJ or was it JFK sent in the troops. Lots of consideration and planning but not Trump. Peaceful protests around 5 blocks in downtown LA. LAPD had the small protest under control. Then Trump sent in the troops the next day and escalate the protests and now protests spreading in few other states.

Edit:  Just to be specific, JFK did it to desegregate University of Alabama.  LBJ did it to protect a civil rights march from Selma to Montgomery.   Neither one had permission from the guv'ner.

Gov. George Wallace told LBJ that the state was unable and refused to provide for the safety and welfare of the protesters. Gov. Newsome had everything under control and didn't request for federal intervention. That's the difference.
