Witkoff subsequently conveyed to Iran a new plan that was detailed and acceptable proposal regarding its nuclear program. Iran was ready to discuss. Then June 12 happened disrupting the negotiation.

In that case what was there for Trump, or any other, to negotiate?

Can you link to the details of the proposal, and Iran's acceptance?

Do you think Wicoff was surprised by the attack? I do not.

That was what the Trump Administration was trying to negotiate.

Global watchdog finds Iran failing to meet nuclear obligations

The global nuclear watchdog's board of governors has formally declared Iran in breach of its non-proliferation obligations for the first time in 20 years.

Iran condemned the resolution as "political" and said it would open a new enrichment facility.

And they only did so when it was clear they were found out.

The deadly conflict between Israel and Iran has entered its fourth day, with both sides widening their attacks. Overnight, Iran struck an Israeli oil refinery and damaged part of the power grid. In Israel, explosions were seen and residential buildings were hit.

Have you seen the videos of folks getting out of Tehran? And the honchos fleeing? Guess Israel lost its chance of targeting civilians on those traffic jams.

Israel is killing soldiers, Iran is killing babies. Typical.

Yea saw them, Iran is being decimated

Iranians are continuing to flee the capital of Tehran tonight, as Israel intensifies its strike campaign against government, military, and infrastructure targets throughout the city, with footage showing major traffic jams on the Babayi Expressway to the northeast of Tehran.

Head in sand with you.

Trying watching "Al Jazeera", as the leading "non-censored" source of news being broadcast out of this region.

Albeit, it is Qatari based, but a  "Worldwide News Site" and perhaps with real credibility than the "BBC, CNN, MSNBC" etc..

Al Jazeera is neither neutral not  reliable. It's "journalists" have been exposed as  working with  various  militant groups.  It is easy to criticize western media, because so many lies  have been said about them, but most are far more reliable than Arab based news media for the simple reason that they are not controlled by their respective governments. Al Jazeera is controlled by the Qatari government and  does not diverge from stated Qatari government policy.

That can't be too good for the economy. I suppose better to be alive and inconvenienced, than to be dead if living next door to a general.
