I've found it difficult to find a covid vaccine update shot living in Rawai. None of the public hospitals are getting any. Bangkok Hospital is the only place to get one? With the ridiculous price?

 

I find it unbelievable how many here run their stupid, misinformed mouths at getting the vaccine, wearing masks, dismissing all this. Maybe it won't kill you, but these are all minor inconveniences for the payoff of not getting severely sick. This is a no-brainer. All this covid around will catch up to you. It can make you very sick and can kill you.

Wife and I did our COVID stint back in May, my daughter still hasn't gotten COVID yet. Wife and I have had it the first go around during the pandemic, and again this May, both times she got me sick. I had the 3 initial shots way back, my wife and daughter have had continuous vaccination shots. This time it lasted about 3-1/2 weeks to run it's full course for both of us. I would still rather have FLU over COVID any day.

This is my whole point. You can have Covid without knowing you have been exposed. It can be asymptomatic or have extremely mild symptoms. Anyone saying they know they've never had Covid is full of BS or simply doesn't understand the virus and what asymptomatic means.

It would be helpful if they did their homework and disclosed whether this is a new strain and what it's called, and if there has been a vax developed specifically for the new strain if it is in fact a new strain. Also, we should be informed as to how many of these people were previously vaxxed, as well as telling us whether our own previous vax is good for the new strain (most probably yes)

Given how anti-foreigner the Thai government has become, it wouldn't surprise me.  They are incrementally making it more difficult and more troublesome to visit Thailand.  How many people are deciding to visit elsewhere because of all the changes and requiring a vaccine certificate would be a significant disincentive.
