Thailand - 50 years ago

Featured Replies

50 years ago on the same day I visited Thailand the first time in my life. With my girlfriend.

We booked 2 tours, one in the Southern part and one in the North. At the end we enjoyed wonderful 2 weeks in a bungalow directly at a beach in Phuket.

We went to PatPong, watched the skilled Thai girls on the stage. And we were all giggling when a nice young girl tried to put one hand into my pocket.

Chiang Mai at that time was not a big city. You could cross roads without major problems.

Thai women looked slim and some beautiful. Tourists were treated as guests. Coconut to drink for 10 Baht.

Food on the streets for 20 Baht.

Everything and everywhere no hustle, all hassle free.  A slow down life.

What are your experience?

I remember when the Thermae moved to the Ruamchitt
