Get a credit card that gets money back, typically 1.5-2%, no annual fee, and no foreign transaction fee. Your purchases are protected against fraud and you pay a bit less for your items. Only things I use cash for any more is milk at 7/11 and gas for the motorbike. -

Does City Hall not employ cleaners to do the beach on a regular basis? Or has the recent minimum wage increase made that unsustainable? Perhaps they were previously Cambodians who now fear for their safety! -

Updates on laws
I picked up some more supply today from the retail shop I usually buy from. Business as usual. They were a bit busy while I was there, so I didn’t get a chance to really chat like I normally would. But I did briefly ask if they’d seen that new document from the health ministry. One of them said, “Yeah, we’ve seen it. It’s going to require doctor’s notes,” and that was it. End of discussion. They didn’t seem too concerned. I’m not even sure if they’ll end up requiring doctor’s notes for their regular customers in the future or not. -

I know a lot of people that are having a meltdown about the move to electronic forms of payment. It seems to be based on conspiracy theories about banks. You are quite right that those people are going to be screwed moving forward. -
