Intercepted call of Iranian officials downplays damage of U.S. attack

This is very different to the official statements from the Iranians, and I'm not in the least surprised. The last thing they want is another round of attacks.

WaPo exclusive: Intercepted call of Iranian officials downplays damage of U.S. attack

https://archive.ph/75Bd3#selection-277.0-277.69

"The United States obtained intercepted communication between senior Iranian officials discussing this month’s U.S. military strikes on Iran’s nuclear program and remarking that the attack was less devastating than they had expected, said four people familiar with the classified intelligence circulating within the U.S. government.
The communication, intended to be private, included Iranian government officials speculating as to why the strikes directed by President Donald Trump were not as destructive and extensive as they had anticipated, these people said. Like some others, they spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive intelligence."

So which account by the Iranians are you going to go with, the one from the Supreme leader, the one from the Foreign Minister or this unreliable intercept with no source names?

"A source, who declined to be named, confirmed that account to Reuters but said there were serious questions about whether the Iranian officials were being truthful, and described the intercepts as unreliable indicators."

The ayatollah was IMO trying to downplay the damage done for political reasons while the FM was doing the opposite for military reasons. Obviously, they don't want any more attacks as they are practically defenseless. This intercept casts doubts over the claims of the FM and that's why I find it reasonably credible.

But as I've stated before, only time will tell the true extent of the damage. It will probably end up being somewhere in between what the supreme leader in Tehran said and what the supreme leader in Washington said.

Correct and the last people to promote in this are the Iranians

They can always pay another visit with b2s ,they need the exercise and tests of bunker busters

This is surely the last thing that Iran wants and needs, and that's why IMO the contents of this intercept is credible.

Let's see how this upsets DJT's calculations for obtaining a Nobel Peace Prize. He wants it bad. The question now is which of the available storylines (entirely destroyed or not so bad as expected) helps Trump get the Nobel? Trump paid influencers on Twitter/X will soon let you know.

Going back for another round is surely the last thing both Trump and the Iranians want. The question is, if it turns out the damage done is far less than what's been claimed (by both the Trump administration and the Iranian FM) at what point does it become non-negotiable?

Another 'anonymous sources' bombshell.... from...oh look a notoriously anti Trump outlet

Anonymous sources from Iran are great. Make up whatever you want so that it goes against Trump

I read somewhere that the Iranians have just cut off all use of the American GPS system, and turned on the Chinese Beidou GPS navigation system. This might make their missiles much more accurate if hostilities start up again.

And these outlets are what all these idiots call ''trusted' , verified' or 'credible' sources.

How many times have their exclusive or bombshell stories turned out to be total nothing burgers.

Its just click bait and the frothy Trump derangement crew fall for it every single time.

BLM is placeholder?.... well, that kinda makes sense with the amount of nonsense posts.

Theyre both on my ignore list anyway.

A couple of posts referring to the latest assessment by the IAEA have been removed as there is a topic on that already, this topic is about an alleged intercepted call from Iranian officials.

You can discuss the IAEA reports here

Not for him. That's his purpose here, to promote the cause of the Iranians, anti-semitism, anti-americanism, transgenderism and to work as hard as he can to destroy the United States.
