Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, has dismissed rumours suggesting he could become an interim Prime Minister amidst Thailand's political stalemate. He stated there have been no formal discussions within the party regarding this possibility.

Anutin expressed surprise over reports and clips suggesting he was being considered for the temporary role and clarified that such decisions must align with constitutional and parliamentary processes.

He emphasised that Thailand still has a Prime Minister, who is temporarily unable to perform duties due to a Constitutional Court order.

When questioned about potential partnerships with other parties, Anutin maintained that any role, temporary or not, must be settled through proper legislative mechanisms. He also commented on proposed conditions from the People's Party, which involve constitutional changes.

Anutin plans to meet with opposition leader Natthapong to discuss matters further, as Bhumjaithai recently joined the opposition. He reiterated that any speculation should consider the parliamentary framework and not be based on unverified clips or rumours.

and since when their decisions align with their constitution or parliament, they are all corrupt, the ones elected by the people were dismissed because they didn't align with "their" constitution, did he had a straight face when he said that

It could be a way to keep away from elections if they can get either the PTP or the PP to agree.

I will give you 3 guesses who is behind this latest uprising, however I think you should only need 1

The elites and military.

They brought PTP into power as the lesser of 2 evils.  They thought they could make a deal withThaksin that would benefit them.  Everyone knew the deal would eventually fall apart.

Thaksin punishing Chidcob by removing backing to Buriram and then working to get the F1 in Bangkok, not at Buriram, started the ball rolling.

Thaksin did not stay at home with the grandkids, but has proven himself to be the voice and head of the government.  His daughter has shown that she is worse than his sister was and is totally useless on a foreign leader's front.

The casino and the way the country is going financially are wrong, and they know they have to think after the phone call that the government is moving in a way that is not good for the country.  Consider that the area they are discussing has been like that for a long time.  Why is it so important now?

If possible for the good of the country, I can see the leite trying to broker a deal with PP that would have them in power but Anutin as the leader so that they can get the experience.  It is doubtful but it is the oly way to not have to go to an election and watch the military parties and teh DEMS disappear.  PP will gain power and could get enough seats not to need a coalition with a major party.

That would definitely be harmful to the elites
