Thai AirAsia has officially launched a new direct flight route between Suvarnabhumi Airport and Buriram, aiming to improve regional connectivity and stimulate both tourism and local economic growth. The inaugural flight, FD4511, was warmly welcomed at Buriram Airport by Buriram Governor Piya Pijnam, along with representatives from local government agencies and the private sector.

This newly introduced route marks a significant development in strengthening Buriram’s position as a key tourism and sports destination in northeastern Thailand. The route offers travellers more flexibility, now providing alternatives to travel from both Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports in Bangkok.

Flight Schedule and Promotional Fares

The Suvarnabhumi–Buriram service will operate three times per week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with the following schedule:

• Flight FD4511: Departs Suvarnabhumi at 15:30, arrives in Buriram at 16:35

• Flight FD4512: Departs Buriram at 17:05, arrives in Suvarnabhumi at 18:10

To celebrate the route launch, Thai AirAsia is offering a promotional fare starting from just 950 baht per journey for all domestic routes departing from Suvarnabhumi. The promotion is valid for bookings made between 1–14 July 2025, for travel from 5 July to 30 November 2025, via www.airasia.com or the AirAsia MOVE app.

AirAsia Expands Domestic Network

AirAsia has also announced the addition of new routes from Suvarnabhumi to Nakhon Si Thammarat and Chiang Rai, scheduled to commence on 1 October 2025. With these new destinations, AirAsia now operates 11 direct domestic routes from Suvarnabhumi, including flights to Chiang Mai, Phuket, Krabi, Hat Yai, Khon Kaen, Udon Thani, Surat Thani, Narathiwat, Buriram, Chiang Rai, and Nakhon Si Thammarat.

Combined with its 22 domestic routes from Don Mueang Airport and 8 cross-regional routes, Thai AirAsia now offers the most extensive domestic flight network in Thailand, operating up to 118 flights per day across 41 routes.

Local Response and Future Outlook

Kovit Thamthanawit, AirAsia Station Manager at Buriram Airport, emphasised the convenience the new route brings for Buriram residents and visitors, particularly international tourists seeking to explore the region’s cultural, sporting, and natural attractions.

“This flight makes travel much easier for Buriram locals and tourists alike,” he said. “We expect it to have a significant impact on the local economy and tourism sector. The demand from both Thai and foreign travellers continues to grow, and we’re excited to play a role in that.”

The girlfriend would fly Nok Air from DMK to Buriram, sadly, had a few cancel flights.
