A 26-year-old woman was fatally shot in the head by her former boyfriend, after she refused his plea to rekindle their relationship. The suspect, reportedly from a well-known local family, fled the scene in a modified pickup truck, prompting a police manhunt.

Police from Kanchanadit Police Station received an emergency call at 19:40 on 6 July, reporting a shooting at a private residence in Moo 4, Thung Kong subdistrict, Kanchanadit district, Surat Thani province. Rescue workers from the Kusol Sattha Foundation were dispatched to the scene along with investigating officers.

The victim, later identified as Ms Supajanee Saelim 26, of Kiansa district, was found lying on her back inside the property. A gunshot wound to the head was the cause of death. The weapon used has not yet been officially identified.

According to eyewitnesses, the suspect was named as Mr Wirapong Na Nakhon, also known as “Bee,” aged 36, of Phra Saeng district. He and Ms Supajanee had previously been in a relationship, but she had recently decided to end it. On the evening of the incident, Mr Wirapong is said to have confronted her at the house in a last attempt to reconcile.

When his efforts were rebuffed, he allegedly drew a firearm and shot her at close range. He then fled the scene in a grey, single-cab, Toyota Revo pickup truck.

Police have since alerted nearby stations to be on the lookout for the vehicle and suspect, who remains at large. Authorities say the suspect was likely armed at the time of his escape and should be considered dangerous, with police vowing to bring the perpetrator to justice.

Oh well, move along. Nothing to see here. Typical Thai story.

Maybe it was a long time coming. Perhaps he wasn't treating her right or was abusive. Many stay in relationships out of fear but then decide they've had enough and need to go. His reaction, using a gun, could have been one of many of the same type, threatening violence. Some can't understand that there are millions of women here , some of whom might be a better match.

Probably one of many girls attracted to the "bad boy" abusive type.

These women should probably seek counseling when they realize they are attracted to thugs.

It's been happening since time began, somehow thinking they're exciting and not realizing the danger they're getting into. Plenty of beta males who are responsible, attractive, family oriented and more likely to stay without hurting them. Media promotes the bad boys and many women waste years of their lives around narcissistic boys who have no intention but to hurt and move on. If they grew up without a safe, strong, responsible father they'll search for the perfect man they were missing as a child, which doesn't exist.

Sounds like she was right not to want to be with this psycho.

The usual thumbs down by one of the usual suspects, one who always says he doesn't use them. On a post I thought was a logical reply to this topic. I'm guessing it's an automatic thing, where they can't help themselves.

R.I.P. Lady.

One more psycho Thai male.

If your brain was working, at least that comment would be addressed to the man.

Seems to be a health risk for Thai woman

These deaths by boyfriends and ex boyfriends are a fortnightly event.
