Then simply stay there then.

What do you mean you have "done" every city ?    Sounds like that American guy I met who claimed to have "done" Europe, ... He was there all of 2 weeks

I've driven 4 times across the area. Went everywhere. This is over many visits not 2 weeks. Isaan is fine for 2 to 4 weeks.

I've been to every city. You have not. There are several so called beaches along the Mekong. Pretty lame though.

There are two beaches in Khon Kaen   I bet the OP cannot name them.  Despite having "done every city"  lets await his reply

yea, for an american that counts as having 'done' europe, so in fact he's correct.

good place for animals, growing vegetables and have live stock for food and security

It's the worse region in Thailand for agriculture and live stock. It's why they're so dirt poor.

Korat is very sleepy. Udon is the best city, Nong Khai no 2. Still CM is much better.

Udon has decent farang food.

I start to like Korat, and actually a great city at once you get to know it better. We prefer Korat now above Chaiyapum and Petchabun, but those two places have very little to offer compared to Korat, except Petchabun have great mountains, and chill air when you get to the top of the mountains for a few days to recover from the heat.

Do you know how big and diverse Isaan is? You are funny

why some districts is dirt poor, is because of very little education and resources to make the best out of what they have.

Real beaches are at the ocean. I don't rate lake and river beaches.

Don't be silly, grow up, and how you have the front to use the word troll, is beyond me.

Now, your silly baiting is not working, but fun reading it..........😁

Cuts out a lot of places.

Yep, mostly due to about a half year of air pollution.  I'll never put up with that again.  Most negatives you can avoid, that one, you can not.

I would have left Isan after first 4 or 5 yrs if I could.  Could move my village orphan out of school, so stuck I was till she graduated.

I would say that boredom is a problem from within, its down to ones personality,  Some would get bored in Pattaya or Bangkok where theoretically most things are available.  Personally I never get bored, not even in prison

So why are you spending time and money in a Thai area you really don't like.

Please tell all......:clap2:

Well yes Hindus and Buddhas said that for 2500 years but many still do.
