We all know what kind of problems have occured because of it. What made things worse is not the cannabis itself. It`s the Users, who never used cannabis before, it`s users who mixed their cannabis consumption with alcohol and other drugs, it`s users who mentally have underlying causes.

All the negative cases we read here in the past didn`t came from medical cannabis users. Or have you ever seen Cheech and Chong going berserk? 😄

 

Will Thailand lose cannabis tourists now? Maybe. But on the other hand, if everything is clearly regulated, things will calm down and more medical cannabis tourists with a real need for this medicine will visit Thailand. 

 

The discussion will go on, I know that.

There always will be people who are against cannabis. 

 

But Stop bashing Thailand all the time about this. I never read about people who are so hostile towards the states in the US, where cannabis is legal or various European countries.

 

If you do not like the policies in Thailand. Do not visit or go back home.

That's the whole idea easier to regulate cannabis businesses if single entities rather than hundreds of little shops flouting the rules and being unchecked

CNN travel three weeks ago and in the post it says

He said the new regulations are just a first step — but acknowledged getting a bill through parliament will take time.

“This isn’t a fixed policy that can’t be changed,” he said.

They did an end-run around parliament and it's already published in the Royal Gazette. Cannabis is again considered a class 2 narcotic. Not how a democracy operates, but I'm in no position to air my grievances.

Why don't Thai media reveal who owns most of the 20,000 weed shops? Because you can bet your last roach that it is precisely the big industrial players that already own most of the shops - not thousands of 30-something entrepreneurs..  Everyone is pointing fingers over the casino special interests in Thailand. It's a joke to think that big money isn't also behind most of the 20,000 weed shops.
