No they haven't   you must be buying from the wrong place

The licensed dispensaries have inflated the prices beyond reason compared to pre-prohibition.

Kindly DM me some resources. I understand that online sales are illegal now. Just trying to stay out of jail. Too old for that.

Dr Thanirat emphasised the necessity for products to meet pharmaceutical standards, be devoid of harmful contaminants, and require lab testing for safety. While medicinal-grade cannabis is pricier at 10,000 baht per kilo, it guarantees safe and effective treatment, he noted.

10k a kilo doesnt even cover the cost of indoor production.

I think the good old doctor needs to see a doctor. Clearly delusional.

There's now over 30000 medical users in the UK soon as its been legal for over 7 years 🤔

Cheers...just read that.....but very, very few via the NHS....nearly all through the Private Hospitals....!!!!!!

They don't need to be fully qualified medical professionals, they can be traditional Thai medicine doctors and herbalists. This bill actually puts only a 300 Baht prescription between the cannabis user and his beloved THC rich supply.

yeah its a 10baht per gram "tax" - could be worse

as for the actual implementation my local shops already providing tele-medicine service for guaranteed prescription.. just bring passport lol

"rule could marginalise small farmers unable to meet the medicinal-grade standards required"

If they can't meet standards then it's good they go put of business.... just like everyone else.

Why protect sub-standard products

Because nearly all doctors in the UK won't prescribe it as they'll lose all their big pharma freebies...

That's the whole idea easier to regulate cannabis businesses if single entities rather than hundreds of little shops flouting the rules and being unchecked

Been reading up......apparently it is the private sector that is doling it out left right and centre.

New rules also put stricter controls on growers and farmers, ban commercial advertising and prohibit cannabis from being sold in vending machines or online. More than 18,000 licensed cannabis shops across the country will have to adapt or risk closing.

CNN travel three weeks ago and in the post it says

He said the new regulations are just a first step — but acknowledged getting a bill through parliament will take time.

“This isn’t a fixed policy that can’t be changed,” he said.

A pro-cannabis group is urging the Ministry of Public Health to ditch a new regulation targeting medical marijuana use, fearing it could monopolise the industry in favour of big investors.

The small business just figured this out, 'eh?

They did an end-run around parliament and it's already published in the Royal Gazette. Cannabis is again considered a class 2 narcotic. Not how a democracy operates, but I'm in no position to air my grievances.

There are also many doctors who still refuse point blank to prescribe it  due to either "reefer madness" or pressure from big pharma who will have threatened to withdraw all the freebies they offer

No that's completely wrong, you can only get it on a private prescription and the doctors NEVER refuse it due to reefer madness, it's not 1936 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Let me tackle your skeptical query with a chuckle. Too many cannabis newbies, who thought mixing it with alcohol or other party favors was a genius idea, ended up in hilarious (or not-so-hilarious) predicaments. The tales are legendary—I’m sure you’ve stumbled upon a few. That’s why I’m all for the new “ask-a-doctor-first” rule. Safety first, chaos second!

For further enlightment, reach out to your local temple.😂

Why don't Thai media reveal who owns most of the 20,000 weed shops? Because you can bet your last roach that it is precisely the big industrial players that already own most of the shops - not thousands of 30-something entrepreneurs..  Everyone is pointing fingers over the casino special interests in Thailand. It's a joke to think that big money isn't also behind most of the 20,000 weed shops.
