July 29, 2025Jul 29 i’m 72, and newly trying my hand at Tinder. Below age 60, I asked them how they feel about me being 72. I get about 3/4 of age is just a number, and a golden quarter of women who tell me that they have always been attracted to older men. Typically, they say that they have not been with men as old as they would like. They say that older man are more likely to take an interest in them as people and also be more respectful. They mean western men. They also say that they are more attracted to a mature appearance. I don’t consider a 52 versus 72 age gap to be perversion. I hope that guy will weigh in and offer his opinion as to at what age age gaps are finally acceptable to him. The woman I am talking to all have their own means of middle class support, usually via a nursing job, an English speaking secretary job, or owning a small business like a hair salon or a market stall. Above age 52, they are likely to have built a life that they like, they are not looking for sponsorship to build one. About every profile stresses how simple they are. I take this to be a non-materialism reassurance. I typically suggest a rooftop bar to meet, because I haven’t been to nearly enough of them in Bangkok. They usually refuse it and say it’s too expensive. A midtier Thai restaurant seems to be the sweet spot.
