Last week a mate and I were drinking in in a bar on soi Buakhou with a couple of the girls. 

My mate decided to bar fine one of the girls, he negotiated a price with the girl for long time, 2000 baht. 
Mamasan told him long time bar fine 2000 baht, then he was told she has to have 10 drinks, no problem, he bought her 6 more drinks (tequilas), he paid the bill 4500 baht and they left the bar. 

They got to his condo door, the girl shows him massages from Mamasan, telling her to increase her price from 2000 to 4000 baht etc. The girl tells him that she needs to change her apartment room and she will go and come back in 1 hour, she asks him for 1000 baht, my  stupid mate gave her 1000 baht, he never saw her again. 

He's been back to the bar a few times to get his money returned for her bar fine and money for her drinks, the bar refuses to refund him, the bar is saying that the girl has not come back to the bar, it was her first day at the bar. 

My mate messaged the owner on their Facebook page but they do not reply.

Any thoughts on what he can do?

 

Move on. Very little hope of getting any money back.

I had massaman yesterday 120 baht. Your mate is a silly boy.

 

His money is gone. 5500 baht for nothing. Tell him go get a massage or something next time.

Drinks and barfine is just you having a date, not guaranteed sleep over or sex. Most likely she got second thoughts about the guy, and she got full right to just leave you at anytime. god sake it isn’t a contract is it?

I agree. It's best to go to the coconut bar on Beach Road, get a freelance girl.

I just highlight the whole stupid barfine where guys thinks they have a contract for sex. He should had know he was been taking for a ride when he had to buy her x amount of sugar drinks and 2k barfine. That’s before her pay for a LT. 

 

Get real that girl had no intention of going with that guy at all.
