From your own link

Food prices in June 2025 were 3.0 percent higher than in June 2024.

Well you can cherry pick whatever you like. America is winning and Trump is winning. My grocery bills are cheaper, so are many others, and the only complaining is from foreigners and folks who hate their own country

So US needs unfair tariffs to be able to compete with the EU?   I see this as a success.   US comes across as the schoolyard bully with no brains. That's how the MAGAs see themselv

  • Unfortunately for you weak girly men, nobody can rescue you from the bully. We are winning, so be at peace with it, you'll feel a lot better about yourself

  • Perhaps the US is just tired of propping up the European economies as we did after WW2.  It made sense when Europe was on its knees after the war.  But not today.  It's time for them to put on their b

I'm not cherry picking anything, I only pointed out that you are an ignorant liar, by stating the facts in the link you used to claim food inflation is not at 2.9%

"'Trump ate von der Leyen for breakfast': EU tears itself apart over 'badly negotiated' trade deal - while Labour admits Brexit got UK better terms"

Daily Mail phrased it more accurately😅

Brilliant, great victory, Trump will end up paying more for the goods arriving from Europe that are not produced in the US, and there are many, many of them.

What EU products does the average US citizen buy?

When I lived in the UK there was nothing I would buy from the EU that I couldn't buy cheaper from the USA.

Even the shipping charges from the USA to the UK were cheaper than Germany/France to the UK.

And that was when we were in the EU.

Only the narrowminded would look at the EU in isolation.

Back on the so called "Liberation" day Trump declared every country in the world would be queuing up to make a deal. Market chaos followed and he had to back off, very few deals have been made. Only time will tell who the main beneficiaries turned out to be and who has suffered in the crossfire.

Nothing in the whole fiasco can be said to be a "Triumph" for Trump.

All the major EU states except France appear to have accepted it. The French PM is vocal in his disapproval; nothing from Macron but he needs all the friends he can get, so I can't see him picking a fight with the Commission and Germany over this.

EU reaction to the agreement was decidedly mixed, with Germany and France offering perhaps the strongest criticism.

"I am not satisfied with this result in the sense of: 'This is good.' But I do say that, given the starting point we had with the United States, more simply wasn’t achievable," German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said. French Prime Minister Francois Bayrou called the EU's "submission" a "dark day" for the bloc.

All 27 members have to approve the deal.

Delusional beyond belief.

Trump campaigned on tariffs and now he has agreement with the UK, EU and Japan, among others.

A staggering triumph for Trump.

A staggering defeat for the poorer segment of American consumers. Who cares about Trump? A president is supposed to serve the PEOPLE. Trump only serves his own diseased ego and of course the richest people. The most corrupt president in American history.

I didn't want to use that word to describe what you write, but since you seem to know, I agree with it

Yes, I understand that you have a weird personal vendetta against me. But on the actual topic, in your bizarre Trump fandom you totally ignore what Trump's tariff-polooza will do to the majority of Americans, including of course so many in his cult who were suckered into believing he was going to help them economically. Trump doesn't care about them and clearly for whatever bizarre reasons as a non-American, you don't either.
