Two prominent Israeli rights groups on Monday said their country is committing genocide in Gaza, the first time that local Jewish-led organizations have made such accusations against Israel during nearly 22 months of war.

 

The claims by B’Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights-Israel add to an explosive debate over whether Israel’s military offensive in Gaza — launched in response to Hamas’ deadly Oct. 7, 2023, attack — amounts to genocide.

 

The PHRI report was a detailed, legal-medical analysis focusing on what it called the step-by-step dismantling of Gaza’s health and life-sustaining systems including electricity, clean water and access to food.

The report said frequent statements by Israeli officials and its military supporting the total destruction, starvation and permanent displacement of Palestinians in Gaza, combined with policies on the ground, show that Israel is intentionally trying to destroy Palestinian society.

There is "real starvation" in Gaza, Donald Trump has said, after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insisted there was no such thing.

 

Asked if he agreed with Netanyahu that it was a "bold-faced lie" to say Israel was fuelling hunger in Gaza, the US president replied: "I don't know... those children look very hungry... that's real starvation stuff."

 

Speaking during a meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Scotland, Trump said: "Nobody's done anything great over there. The whole place is a mess... I told Israel maybe they have to do it a different way."

   I have been following the news and I didnt notice Donald stating that Israel had gone too far , that's why I asked for  link to be provided to back the claim up

Not sure I've seen anything from Trump stating explicitly that Isreal has gone too far.

 

The links provided above don't state that either, but they are from organisations generally thought to be politically left of centre so some might question their reporting.  Here's one from an organisation that is generally thought to be more right-leaning that has reported what Trump recently said.  Interesting to me to note the different tone from the left and right-leaning outlets; left talking about whether Trump thought Netanyahu was lying, the right talking about Netanyahu's denial rather than a lie.

This is why I'm usually reluctant to answer MAGA question as often deflection / denial reply. I say you're splitting hairs.  As noted above, from Trumps' comments it is blindingly obvious Trump (including his wife) are very unhappy with the food supply issues in Gaza whilst noting the images of starving children - my words - don't lie and are disturbing

Nonsense. Trump's statement infered Israel has gone to far with it's aid blockage, All you're doing is the usual deflect. Thankfully the Israelis are now permitting some extra aid, including air drops, but still totally insufficient. Israel has lost a great deal of goodwill due to it's over the top response to Hamas by way of killing innocents and human rights abuses / war crimes. Not going to respond any further to yet another MAGA with eyes firmly closed to reality.
